biden is actually better than those people on foreign policy but i guess he is so old he just said fukk it and let them hire themselves
Yeah this was one of my main concerns when Biden was wrapping up the nomination. He's old and cooked, he's not gonna be running the show. Looks like Obama/Clinton-world realized this and quickly coalesced to take over again. :francis:

Are Trump and Sanders in any way similar on the political spectrum? They couldn't be further apart so you tell me why 1 in 10 went from left to far right
similar reason HRC voters defected to McCain

the Hillary-McCain people didn’t want to vote for a Black man. the Sanders-Trump people didn’t want to vote for a woman

It’s been talked about often how there is a (probably not so surprising) similarity between MAGA and BBs.

The eventual documentary on this should be pretty good.

It absolutely does not mean that. The idea that your identity inherently changes your perspective on issues in any meaningful way has become a kind of "liberal" fallacy.
A grouping of "POC" Harvard and Yale-educated bureaucrats who share the same class background, attended the same day schools, had the same internships and jobs, and have the same ideology and social groups as their white counterparts are going to reproduce exactly the same policies.

This something you see in the career sphere and the academic sphere - sure the Black and Latinx coworkers can code-switch and feign some kind of disdain for their white male counterparts' "privileges" - but they don't differ in ideology.
Assuming that these people grew up under different socio-economic and ethnic circumstances doesn't guarantee a different perspective, but there's a good chance. Moreso of a chance than if the Administration were homogenous.

During 2016 Steve Bannon had Trump running a faux right wing populist message that he obviously didn't follow through on to any sort of degree. To political casuals that was where the overlap was. "Drain the swamp", "America First", cutting drug prices, NAFTA renegotiation. They leaned into some elements of the Sanders message to try and court those voters (with no intention of follow through), while Hillary took the "see dumb progressives we won so shut the fucc up" option.

How Trump won and proved everyone wrong with his populist message

All this whining and crying over picks that anyone that has any knowledge of Biden wouldn't be surprised about. :mjlol:

Theyll do well, have a massive screwup or two but manage to leave things better than they found them.

Anyone hoping for widescale reformation of any institution in mission, scope, or ideology in the timeframe of one administration is delusional. :russ:

What's your assessment of how the Obama Administration did?

Would you describe it as "did well, had a massive screwup or two but managed to leave things better than they found them."?
