That's a big difference. If they had the deciding vote on anything they most certainly would've voted party line.

Getting dumb Americans to stop playing zig zag on the down ballot in 2022 Biden can pass at least 2-3 bills total via reconciliation between this year and next year, so that’s plenty to hang your hat on as a victory come mid term. We just need to pick up 2 extra Senate seats and he nor the other broad matter going forward.

You're forgetting the House.

Manchin killed any chance of HR1 or anything like it passing, which means Republicans will control the House for probably at least a decade starting in 2022 due to gerrymandering and voter suppression.


Even if Dems pick up a few Senate seats the House will just block everything.

At this point any chance for voting reform is dead. With Manchin and Sinema opposed to getting rid the filibuster they doom Democrats in 2022. Sen Warnock is fukked. My prediction stands for 2022. Dems will expand control in the Senate but will lose the House. Biden will be faced with divided government just like Obama after 2010.
People on HL were saying Manchin wasn’t gonna be a problem.

Next time Republicans get the majority in both houses the first thing they'll do is get rid of the filibuster. And you already know Democrats will blame progressives for it

I say as someone from actual rural America, the less political power rural areas have the much better American politics are.

Dems owning the WH, Senate, and House and failing to do anything about the rampant cheating occurring around the country that's systematically targeting their supporters and will lead to the party's inevitable doom in about a year's time is really something. It's one thing to abandon your supporters, but don't they care about power? Imagine if the shoe was on the other foot, and MAGA was being targeted in these states, how quickly would Republicans act if they had total control in D.C.? It would be agenda item #1.

To be fair, it's really only the fault of Manchin and Sinema.

Although I do blame Biden a bit for enabling Manchin by talking all that bipartisan BS. Sinema on the other hand just wants attention and I'm sure she'd fold under pressure.
