Yes and no. Trump was great for their ratings but they had to hammer Trump because eventually they needed to save face and protect their name and get him out the paint.

So it was a love/hate relationship with him.

With Biden they will try to churn up overblown controversies to make things "interesting" (Think Obama administration) because we all know Biden is going to be pretty quiet for four years and their ratings will sink.

They don't necessarily want normalcy in politics.
