Depends on demograph.. I worked at Honda el cerrito which is between MacDonald Ave and Cutting Blvd in richmond, if a charger pulled up on 22's we would tell them its worth less, but we knew we could sell it for more
But usually they try to tell you its worth less, so its all on area and who you trading in to.. try and bring receipt papers and show them how much you paid for them and how long ago you got them to help.
Yeah but depends on car.. 80k on a civic
80k miles on an audi
as far as trade in value goes.. Kelly Blue Book is gonna be your best answer for trade in value.
Depends. All cars regardless of year/make/model go through a I believe 63 point test (its been awhile, so might be 68?) through our service shop to make sure its in sell able condition and running condition. If its a certain year/make/model you are looking for and you want it certified (more tests.. I believe 140 point test) then you have to buy from an infinti dealership. Because they are the ones who certify it. To certify a car it has to be under a certain amount of miles and year to be certified. Sometimes have a better warranty than new cars (ill cover this when I do my write up later).
When we did trade ins, all we did was make sure it was original paint, nothing too broken and it was in running condition because knew the black book was gonna give us the real trade in value anyway
Dont be fooled by a sales person "silent" trade in evaluation of your car though. Old school trick was to walk around the car (as the sales person) silently and instead of saying whats wrong with the car, run your finger over the dent or scratched rim or ripped leather and dont say anything about it, just made it sure the customer saw it so they knew they fukked up.. and they started to devalue their car in their own mind
