Thats because this is not the only thread that exists on the coli. Here it is routinely discussed by men that they want to be leaders, have women submit, and generally have no desire to be equal in any way to women. I have no idea what the point would be in suddenly pretending that isn't a common thought pattern for males on here in order to address a thread about both man and woman equally contributing to household finances.

I guess for the same reason that your potential partner would be in the same position of self sufficiency alone and then decide to add an extra person to cook for and clean up after while submitting and giving them more say and importance than them in their own households.
