Most old school men believe that it's his duty to care for his wife and child (ren).... That includes paying the bills.
I understand that things are expensive these days and alot of times it takes both pay checks to survive. If my husband has a good job I would expect that he would carry more of the load.
Most of you millennials have this warped way of seeing things. Most of y'all don't even want a 50/50 relationship... Y'all want some ol sugar daddy/mama situation were you can lay up for free or damn near it.

Also I would assume if both of our names is on the lease then we'll both handle it responsibly. It sounds like the people afraid to pay more than the other don't feel secure in their relationship. Functioning couples assess their financial situation before moving in. You should only move in if you're serious and if it's serious business will be taken care of.
What about when it comes to mortgage? And what if the taxes and everything else included in mortgage? Like if your mortgage is $1200 but with taxes and escrow it totals up to $1600+. Should u cover the taxes and everything that's associated with escrow?

To answer the question though I'd be fine with paying most or even all of everything if I had to financial means to easily do it but if I'm paying most or all of everything than this women would have to be completely traditional and submissive to me. She would have to cook and clean daily. She would have to greet me with a massage and/or sex when I came home and if we had any children she would have to handle any petty kid stuff.
