225 is probably my 1RM right now, which I don't attempt. When I'm regularly hitting 185-195 12 times I'll try 2 plates.

Batman is a peak human :yeshrug:
For benchpress, sure...but he'd look like fukking peak Ronnie Coleman. There's so much other shyt Batman does well, he's more "well-rounded" than peak everything. I'm giving Batman maybe 495, 585 max to still do all the other shyt he does well.

There's 150 pound freaks benching 4 plates and squatting 5 in real life. For the sake of a peak human in a comic book that's about right. Peak human does mean peak everything, his physical capacity is at the limit of what a man can do before being classified as super.

You ain't punching through a tree benching 585.

Ronnie Coleman was also the first name that came to mind when he said peak human :wow:

I gotta homie who's 5'3 160, throwing up 495, but he's not running a 5 minute mile, jumping out of planes, paragliding from skyscrapers, holding his breath for 4 minutes underwater, master of 15 different martial arts that a body type able to lift 2000 pounds could do, with a 150+ IQ, building his own super computers AND running a Fortune 100 during the day.

I'm not saying he didn't do these things in the comic, I'm just saying that's mad unrealistic for someone in Bruce's shoes. Just the confluence of shyt Batman does well, he can't be peak-human at everything unless he was on a cocktail of drugs.

Everyone writes comic characters different. I'm saying it's absurd writing. shyts not even realistic. To bench 2000 pounds is a silly number to throw up given his context.

While we're on the topic of bench pressing. I got a question for some of y'all who are into fitness and things

This video is 2 years old now but this dude is 130 lb and can bench well over 2.5 times his body weight. And then you look at somebody like Julius Maddox who is like walking around at like 6'2 450 lb and I believe the best he's done is like a bit under 800 which is not 2.5 times. so which is more impressive?

How Much Weight Can Batman Actually Lift?.

In Batman #655, Bruce is shown to be bench pressing over 1000 pounds during one of his regular workouts. In Batman Odyssey #2, Bruce mentions that his maximum leg press is 2500 pounds
Bat man's stats combined with his agility and speed is actually the most ridiculous thing in all of comics :heh:

He can lift like a supreme power lifter, can run like usain bolt, and can also do legit acrobatics in urban environments and is built like an NFL safety
