the four big counties of "atlanta" have always been Cobb, Dekalb, Fulton, and Gwinett, After Dekalb and Fulton, I consider Cobb the first suburb. The difference between Cobb and Gwinett is that Gwinett doesn't have has much old money as Cobb, but the northern part of both Counties richer than the South but I'd put Austell over Snellville.
Clayton is right after that
secondary counties: rockdale, Newton, Henry, Forsyth, Cherokee, Paulding, Douglass, Coweta, and Fayette,
