I never put the clamps on. even when I go up to 405.Was at the gym 2 days ago and some nikka had 225 on there without clamping the weights on. The two on the right side slid right on off. I don’t know how e avoided it, but he’s lucky he didn’t get hurt.
I’m usually by myself, so I’m not trying to do no more than I can handle. 225 is my max, but I’m comfortably doing 185. I weigh 180 lbs
