LOL. Nothing funnier than cats who waste their time bench pressing.

I only do weighted pushups and weighted dips and my chest has blown up like crazy the past few months. But go on and keep pushing a piece of metal up and down thinking it'll give you better gains.

Around 10a set. Back in the day prolly around 20. But ain’t no point in that anymore for me. I’m surprised I haven’t see any obvious
:duck:

Most of these coli gym threads nikkas be doing NFL combine numbers
:heh:

Its as fake as the amount of pushups or pullups nikkas claim they can do without resting. nikkas talking bout doing hundreds of pushups in a row without getting tired. Talk that's fugazi as fukk.

Like you said, elite NFL RBs like Christian McCaffrey who weigh 200 lbs can barely get to 10 reps at 225. And we got dudes on here talking bout they do that for sets. Straight fantasy.

If you can do 20+ pullups in a row, you are ELITE. If you can do 50+ pushups without resting, you are ELITE. Same goes with being able to do 225 for 10+ reps. And we all know there ain't that many elite fitness dudes on this site. So nikkas just need to stop with all these fitness ducktales.

Stupid boy quit that, building a big ass chest comes from banging that bench press.

Pushups produce a better mind/muscle connection for me. When I bench press its more of an arms and shoulders workout.

Weighted pushups are the king of chest building exercises IMO. After that its weighted dips. And then I might try some cable crosses or dumbell presses before I think about the bench.

I never did more than 5x10 for 225lbs, not because I couldn't do it, but because I wanted to protect my shoulders. Flat bench press doesn't really add much to your day to day body functions. It is just for bragging rights.

Do more incline bench presses.

In fact fukk lifting heavy. Do more German Volume Training for real strength.

The fukk?

I know 50+ year old gym rats that push 225lbs for 5x10 and still keep going.

I do 5x10 of 225lbs and I still have energy.

You just mad cause you're weak. :umad:

Yea 225 on the bench is really not that impressive. There are mad people 40+ overweight guys at my gym that are doing that for reps. The bench press is one of those workouts that guys tend to gravitate to first when trying to lift. It has simple mechanics.
I mean I can put up 225, not for a lot of reps, but I don’t train on bench press often.

That's insanely low for a high profile running back.

Anyways how would you know if you never press iron?

It's one thing for a 22 year old to do that many reps and another for a 30 year old to do that many reps.

20 reps at 225 is an achievable goal of you've been benching for 10+ years.

Someone said it on here before as it holds true, 225 is the minimum to be considered a gym guy. It not really impressive but it demands respect because it shows others that you’re serious about it. Oddly, there are fewer and fewer (and this maybe because I go to a commercial gym) people really putting up 225 and higher. My max is 300 and I usually don’t do barbell exercises.

No duck tales but I’m not sure 20 pull ups is that elite . It’s definitely above average but i time above who been in a gym for like five years should be about to do that

i was doing that no problem pre pandemic, wide grip too

nor is 10 reps of 225. I think the most i got to was like 12
