There is no reason why The Coli couldn't do reviews.
or artist Interviews.
Or have a Youtube channel with News/stories/interviews.
We are sitting on a powerful platform.
Any of us could start a blog or youtube channel.
@1984 I understand where your coming from. But we as people need to get on our Marcus Garvey shyt and start our own
EVEN IF WE START VERY SMALL IT'S STILL A START.
I enjoy and appreciate the dialogue, but then there comes a time for action.
Please send me a pmthen what the fukk is the coli waiting for, lets get this shyt popping...
Please send me a pmI respect them to but I'd take most white people over that Oreo who looks like Young Thugs father. I use pitchfork a lot, but mostly for other genres. Unless it's to view a hiphop albums reception in relation to other genres. If I'm looking for some opinions on a standalone hiphop album I'd rather check what my friends are saying, people on here except the usual stans/haters, hiphopdx, DEHH, other rappers etc. And if it's a respected hiphop reviewer freelancing for one of the alternative magazines I might check his opinion to, other than that i'll just check the rating as a benchmark. I don't know about the rest though.
What people don't get is that these magazines like Pitchfork, if you have 4 writers of 24, that's 1/6. And I guess that hiphop and RnB is less than 1/6 of the shyt they review. Like 80 % rock/folk and its 100 sub generes, indie pop and its 100 sub genres and electronic music and its 100... Then 20 % hiphop, rnb, jazz, commercial pop, soul etc. So it makes sense, if we're breaking down race of writer to race of musician that's reviewed.
that tumblr barely scratched the surface of gavin mcinnes's fukk shyt. also molly crabapple, who's a frequent contributor to vice(and probably a self hating puerto rican but thats another story) doxxed the woman who dug up dylan roof's manifesto, exposing her to retribution from countless white nationalists. vice can eat all the dikks.
i like craig jenkins and kid mero tho
