:francis: @Sagat this jjevans poster maybe a c00n, but he right in this post. What Complex is right now is what Vibe & XXL should've done.

im basically saying everything you were saying and im a c00n lol.

you post with the intent to get cosigns from strangers and you move with constraints instead of freedom.

im a c00n because i like and support complex and vice because they put in the work and put put quality content, lmao.

Make sure you go back and understand what i said and where im coming from, dont let these other c00ns fool you and keep you constraint, my brother.

- Love.

Yea lets be honest if it were black owned the content would look a lot different and you crabs would be hating on it and calling them c00ns for various stupid reasons "why they gotta cover chiraq like that, c00ns", cacs aren't constraint and thus they move freely and can push out content without a care in the world, no one is going to send goons at Thomas like they did Char. Black owners have to go through loads of scrutiny, just look at the difference between Dj Akadamiks, young black man doing his thing, over a million subscribers and got ran off from the site. Name a big name that don't get shytted on, even problacks like Tariq get scrutinised.

Thisis50 was neck and neck with Vlad for awhile, who's fault is it, that Vlad surpassed them by having better content and being consistent? You're going to blame these cacs for having work ethics, that's not how capitalism works.

Also, who is stopping black editors and online mags from covering EDM? Why not dip into the white audience? Because black people like to box themselves in or don't want to be considered a c00n for listening to techno despite the fact that blacks created the damn genre. Footwork is dying but cacs in europe picked it up now you've got Planet Mu signing artists, who stopped Bad Boy from doing it? Who stopped them from opening a subdivision for house, trap, dubstep, footwork artists? Who stopped them from picking up black artists in chicago and detriot and dominating the edm scene in europe? THEY THEMSELVES.

So Akademiks, a known c00n who made his come up off the demise off of black people in a city he's never been to, and DJ Vlad, a culture vulture at best, informant and supremacist at worst, are the examples you use?

Make our own shyt instead of bytching about it. Complex, Oscars, Grammys, Vice, etc. We could've made our own shyt and been successful. I guess there's too many c00ns with money to make shyt happen.

Look at (Some) of the rappers they prop up.
Then look at (Some) of the rock bands they prop up.
There's almost always some stark contrast between the talent.
Rock bands can be interesting, eclectic, talented individuals
like a Tame Impala or Alt J while the rappers seem to be the
most vapid ass hats they can find on Sound cloud, some of which have
gotten burn on The Coli.

That tells me all I need to know about the staff at these publications.
There are no Rock equivalants to Young Thug, when it comes to hiphop they just follow whatever the cool black kids like, matter fact they uplift the likes of kendrick & chance the rapper beyond the position they hold in the black community.

Far too many "rappers" come off like their entire school experience was riding the short bus. Those are the ones the media likes to push and unfortunately the kids eat it right up like trans-fats. Like folks always said, you can find liquor stores, tobacco, and other poisons in poor communities, but you'll also find some stupid azz rappers.
