How many months, years did it take for you to reach these numbers my gym breh's?

Lets get some honest answers in here
All after about a year of training properly.

Although i've only ever DL'd 405 on one occasion. Working rep range is lower.

My working reps for bench and squat are sometimes higher than the numbers given.

225 was probably in the 11th grade for me. We had to lift weights for Football though. I was an offensive lineman in high school.

315 I could do for 1 rep by the 12th grade I believe.

There was a stretch in my mid 20's when I was both fat and in good shape. I probably weighed between 250-260. I could rep 315 7-10 times and I maxed out at 405 1 time just to say I did it once in my life.

I'd say my best days on the bench was when I weighed 195-200lbs in my early 30's and could rep 225 20 times & 315 5 times in the same workout.

Breh how you that strong at that weight in high school? You played sports? Short nikka/short arm syndrome?

Lol man im in the south, I started lifting weights @ 12 For football and wrestling.

Went to a highschool that was known for winning 5A state titles so they started us early in middle school. Plus fed us like crazy in Highschool.

And im just naturally kinda strong. even when I cut to 185 last summer I still had enough muscle to bench 315 (max)

For some reason I've always struggled with bench. It took me a year in a college football weight lifting program to get my bench to 225 for 2 reps even though I was 6'2" 250. :dead: I was a beast with the lower body lifts though:birdman: 10 years later (lifting on and off) I'm 245 and I just got to 300lbs on the bench about 2 weeks ago. Still somewhat of a beast with the lower body :jawalrus:

If you got long ass arms, that's Kryptonite on the bench.

Alotta these stats are meaningless.

I've seen it's a lot more difficult for tall lanky dudes to bench cuz they have longer arms and gotta press the bar further.

Anyways I weigh like 145 and do 5 sets of 5 at 225 pretty easy. I have short arms tho so it's not that impressive so :manny:
