In HS I was a 100,200 and 400 runner...fastest i did a mile during testing for the team was 5:35...
Now?
...with a little work I can maybe keep it under 7 minutes
Best way to improve is to train over your goal...in otherwords...train for 2 miles...get that down and then a mile will be way easier to do.
In track, I noticed that guys who ran 400m as their main events.... were also good in 200m...and guys in 800m were also very solid 400m runners.
Guys who were solid 100, and 200m struggled in the 400m
