right now both them muthafukkas one in the same as far as their popularity goes

r kelly did kinda cameback a couple of years ago whe he did those "love letter" and "write me better" albums on a artistic side of things and musically he was doin' better than usher and then he went right back to doin' the same ol bullshyt guys like trey songz and every "new" nikka doin' when he did that "black panties" album :francis:

usher been lost for a loooooooooooooooooooooong time. he never really found his way after "confessions" album. he's had a couple of songs that were ok after that album but he's had far more misses than hits (or rather in this case, "decent" songs) post "confessions" album
I was talking about back in the late 90's/early 2000's.

fukk all that though, i want a new babyface album because him and toni's album from 2014 was the shyt :ohlawd:

Did you listen to the first Ariana Grande album from 2 years ago? Most of the album was produced by Babyface.

Timbo tried to overcharge his label for the followup to 100%.
consumers were bait and switched into buying the followup not knowing this.
All, till after the album dropped.
We were getting this generic rnb album with no timbo records worth a cot damn.
Killed ginuwine's draw and he has been dead ever since.
Imo, male rnb has been dead, too.

I was sayin according to Ginuwine Timbo was salty about him thinking about another direction as well with Timbo still gettin like 4 or 5 tracks but Timbo got mad and pulled all his production and wouldn't answer Ginuwine's calls. He still had dope joints tho. Like Differences is one of the best tracks in his career. He didn't just completely fall off. But he did fizzle out.

These dumb ass threads from these uninformed kids who weren't even around or alive when shyt was popping acting like armchair A&Rs 20 years later. Ginuwine was a huge star.

First off I already know he was a multi-platinum artist, I already know Pony was big and still gets airplay to this day, I know he was a huge star already. None of these things I ever questioned, doubted, or said that he wasn't. If I felt otherwise I would have said it in my first post.

When I said how come he wasn't a bigger star, it was in regards to him reaching the stardom that Usher made it to. I felt like he had the intangibles that Usher had which is why I asked the question what did he do wrong that Usher did right.

There's just some people in this thread being hostile over things that I never said. I never discredited Ginuwine`s talent, music, or star power. I like and respect both ginuwine and usher`s music. This thread was not made with the intention or purpose of boosting Usher over ginuwine or belittling ginuwine.

I will also say that Usher low key sold alotta records off Confessions based on a lie. He was running around sayin those songs were based on a true story then finally admitted they weren't after the album sold mad records n shyt. Lol had people mad gassed thinkin the shyt was about Chili.

Yea bro. Had everyone thinkin the shyt was about Chili for months. Straight fronted. Then came out and said it wasn't about her after nikka's already copped the album. Lol
I definitely thought it was and heard mad people say the same thing around that time
