How come Ginuwine didn't become a bigger star?

No rewriting history idiot.

& Lord Jamar isn't the say all be all. That's just his personal opinion.

:mjlol:

I know you didn't say all people idiot, but you did say large chunk which is why I said black people still rocked with him heavy.

Black people most definitely were still fans of mj heavy during thriller. Especially after Motown 25.

Thriller just crossed over more due to the music videos being on MTV & moonwalk craze.

You even got people like Jamie Foxx that was at one of the victory concerts & witnessed it.

It's pathetic how condescending you are & yet so clueless when it comes to the genre.

Don't worry about age be more concerned about your lack of insight.

my last post in your direction. youre too much of a dikkhead to be going back-n-forth with me. youre clearly not on my level mentally or socially.

I'm not saying lord jamar is the "say all/be all". hes not saying anything that I havnt already said on this board prior to this video's existence. I just posted the video for illustration purposes.
and for the record, its funny how you make a comment like that, then act like Jamie foxx weird ass is supposed to be the judge & jury in the same post.

and its not personal opinion. its a f*ckin well-known fact if you knew your history and were exposed to actual people that aren't squares, particularly from the era that I'm referring to.

I'm not saying that the black community shunned MJ or anything of that nature. I'm saying that he lost a ton of longtime black listeners. particularly in the proverbial cool crowd that you know youre not exposed to.
even the white media that you geeks worship, is on-record acknowledging the issues mike had with his pre-existing fanbase.

That ether :whew: :bustback:

what ether?

you internet dudes are just out-the-loop.

it doesn't matter how many of you cosign each other. real heads know wassup.

even white media is on record cosigning what I'm saying. you know, those little "receipts" you little dudes like so much?

grown people weren't really listening to usher's albums or going to his shows regardless. you think "my way" was the big rave amongst adults breh?

like I said, its an excuse. and lets be reality, when he blew up, he was 19-20 serenading under-aged girls. how the hell is that age-appropriate?

he flopped out the gate, cuz the talent-level was high amongst the young male singers in the mid-90s, and he was below the bar.

somebody post that video of Tevin Campbell purposely styling on usher when they tried to prop usher up at that awards show.
Did anybody ever link this?

I was clearly referring to the late '90s when I stated that adults weren't the ones bumpin "my way" like that. and I said this, after you tried to use the excuse that the first album flopped because adults didn't support it.

usher & Tevin were only really contemporaries in terms of age. musically, they werent really in the same lane. Tevin would've been competing with people like Kenny Lattimore in the late '90s.

usher isn't a respected vocalist like that breh.
and they didn't call usher to sing at those funerals because hes a knock-down vocalist. BE SMART. and I don't know why youre bringing up Michael Jackson like hes sam cooke or somebody. he fell out of the vocalist category back in the '80s.

since when do people in the industry randomly call out bad singers? this isn't hip-hop. LOL. the most you'll normally get, is subtle chit like when tevin styled on usher.
and I didn't say that usher couldn't sing at all, hes just painfully average vocally. that was never his draw tho.
This would be a respectable comment,if you werent bigging up ginuwine in this thread. Usher would have destroyed ginuwine vocally in 1997. (ginuwine improved later) But usher was defintely a clearly better vocalist than ginuwine in the 90's and probably later on too.90's Ginuwine is a (prime) bobby brown level vocalist.
