They fall into the 1 meat/3 sides type format that you mentioned as well

SA got a bigger black population and culture than we get credit for so it's a few great places spread around and other good black owned restaurants out here

Black history in South TX is well documented just gets over shadowed by Mexican South TX and Black Greater East TX history.

Dont move there you going to be in the sticks in my opinion and it floods.You want to live inside the 610 loop .If you move outside look at Humble Katy ,Pearland.

I’m gonna move to inside the loop once I graduate(ala make more money) I’m still a student so It feels like it west chase is a good start for the mean timei dont wanna move somewhere beyond my means only cuz it’s “inside the loop”

You can get cost effective places in the heights (inner loop) that are cost effective and safer.

Westchase outside the loop is high on crime and a coworker who moved to that area from New York bailed after 6 months cause there 2 were shootings.

Dont do it. That area has went downhill for a few years now.


Edit: So I googled your address..... and boy o boy... back in the day I new a chick who lived in those same apts. Find something else if you can afford it. You will be dealing with car breakins and poor construction because those are some old ass apts. If you shop around you can find something nicer for around the same price. I just don't recommend Westchase anymore. Its not what it used to be.

I know it’s not a lot but it’s only short term
Once I graduate I’ll be able to afford better
