Deadly shooting at Clé nightclub in downtown Houston
Investigators said several off-duty deputies were working an extra security job when the suspect opened fire on someone.

tweeted at 3:09 a.m. about the incident at Clé night club at 2301 Main Street.
Gonzalez said several off-duty sheriff deputies were working an extra security job when a man began firing several shots, targeting someone.
Investigators said at least one deputy fired shots at the suspect, possibly hitting him.
HPD is taking the lead on the investigation. Chief Troy Finner early Monday morning about the scene.
“At least one deputy saw a male shooting toward the crowd. The deputy engaged, discharged, struck at least one male. I can tell you right now, it’s a difficult scene, a lot of moving parts," he said. "We’re still in the early stages of it. We have two males dead inside, two male transported to the hospital. One critical, one stable.”
According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, one of those killed may have been the suspect.
The other victims were taken to the hospital, where their current condition is unknown.
No deputies were injured.
This is a developing story.

Appreciate that breh. I'm from SA and we got a couple really dope soul food places but I know Houston got that fire so im definitely gonna check them out
Ain't no thang mane.
Keep in mind I'm using a narrow defintion of "soul food" with them. Mostly the 1 meat 3 sides type.
Not really naming all other type of black american "southern" inspired joints using a broader definition which would include shyt like creole, bbq, brunch, southern seafood, chicken shacks, vegan soul joints etc.
I know SA-town ain't really known for soul, but what's yo goto spot(s)?

Mrs. Kitchen, Tony G's, A-Ok Soul Food, Mr C's and Mama Lou's would be my top 5 spots I would recommend
They fall into the 1 meat/3 sides type format that you mentioned as well
SA got a bigger black population and culture than we get credit for so it's a few great places spread around and other good black owned restaurants out here
