The book version was more impactful. The show messed that "scene" up. For those who haven't watched this episode yet, don't want to spoil. But this scene was supposed to have impact. And it didn't like the book version. They cleaned it up. Red Wedding was more impactful because they stayed true to the books(for the most part). This is why the audience is coming away from this episode like:

Nah Rhaenys called Daemon washed when he told her to get back on Meleys

he not who he used to be, as more and more Velaryon and Targ kids popped up he just got pushed further and further down the line. He doesn't command half of the respect and fear he did in early season 1. Even Jace punked him last season finale.

Hope to see him let loose on the battlefield, restore that Stepstones feeling

Same, I don't really care so much about seeing Aemond vs Daemon because I really don't feel that type of connection for them other than looking alike.



But I do want to see both in combat during the battles especially Aemond.
