I hope civilian casualties are low

I have a close family member stuck in Mekelle for weeks now.. No Internet no communication :mjcry:

We pray he's ok
Inshallah he's ok. What was he doing there?

Meanwhile Abiy sounding like Bashar :mjpls: fake news about the refugees being mostly men. UNHCR stats show its majority women/chidlren.

The 99% accuracy rate and no civilian casualties had me kinda :stopitslime:, now he just talkin wild shyt.....:shaq2:

Abiy been on that populist jingoistic leader tip lately. This might be one of the dangers of Ethiopian politics, just like all the other leaders before it’s this veiled profession for love of the people and country when it’s really just a drunken power grab. Reads just like any of the other successions, challenge, do battle, proclaim yourself the godbody og triple og Ethiopian, become a despot and people still lose out. At this point you have to figure this, just like ethnic nationalist based politics are just learned and deeply rooted political behaviors.

Hearing Eritrea took back Badme, the cause of the '98 war. You hearing the same thing? @JDH
Ive seen tweets about it but not anything official. UN secretary general said this at the latest UN-AU briefing

Secretary-General: First of all, in relation to Ethiopia, we have no proof of the presence of Eritrean troops inside Ethiopia. I confronted the Prime Minister with that question, and he guaranteed to me that they have not entered Tigrayan territory, that the only area where they are is the area that corresponded to the disputed territory between the two countries that, in the peace agreement, was decided to give back to Eritrea. So, this was the testimony that was given to me by the Prime Minister when I confronted him exactly with that question.
Secretary-General’s remarks at press encounter with the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Mr. Moussa Faki Mahamat, following the Fourth UN-AU Annual Conference

Also the Eritrean ambassador to Japan tweeted this :jbhmm:

Alhamdulillah he's ok :blessed:

He was :gucci: that we were all worried lol. Life carried on as normal in Mekelle minus the internet connection. No aerial bombardment of the city...no fighting..no ethnic cleansing

TPLF had the sense to withdraw when they saw the writing on the wall

Give thanks glad to hear he’s safe and sound. Guess all the fear mongering on the TPLF’s part really is a lot of blustery bullshyt.
