Ethiopia declares immediate and unilateral cease-fire in Tigray after nearly 8 months of war
No way around it, Ethiopian army clearly took a huge L. Went from adamantly refusing any negotiations or humanitarian convoys to a unilateral ceasefire. Abiy miscalculated badly on this war.

With that said, I have to say it’s pretty pathetic on Abiy’s part to lose the media war AND potentially the physical war itself. The threat still exists but he’s suddenly decided that a ceasefire for the harvest season isn’t wild. It’s clear that something happened to make things change. The dam will start being filled next month so that may be a factor. But it still runs counter to everything that’s been said. As far as I know, so called Amhara militias took those lands back. I say so called because a lot of that tribal bullshyt is cac oriented ideas of Ethiopia which were developed at the turn of the century which whitewashed Ethiopian peoples’ own identity. I’ve realized Ethiopians are more miseducated and mentally colonized than many Diasporan Africans. That miseducation along with what might be a more emboldened and abrasive Woyane movement could threaten to destabilize Ethiopia more. Either that or take it back to Woyane controlled dictatorship.
On another note, this shyt exposed how much the media is in bed with govt/corporate interests. Even so called liberal progressive outlets like Democracy Now and Al Jazeera. How the story has been reported is an absolute joke and clearly biased towards the Woyane. It’s clear to me that once it becomes a subject of Africans cleaning up corruption and working together with neighbors for more independent and cooperative efforts not involving our would be neocolonial masters then conservative and liberal media alike are in agreement that that should be sabotaged by any means.
I mean shyt, did these cacs in the West ever considered that Eritrea would’ve never been as hard line as it is if it weren’t for the Woyanes political manifesto clearly stating that they want to carve their own country out of pieces of Ethiopia and Eritrea. I mean goddamn

Facts, this shyt gettin even more confusing. There’s no way you have them encircled and they somehow just “beat you” just like how there’s no logical military reason for the Ethiopian and Eritrean forces to rape and pillage as if they’re invading a foreign country. And in the case of Eritrea, they were attacked so why doesn’t self defense come into play? Also, Abiy and Isaias signed an agreement of mutual cooperation which included military assistance so given that Eritrea was attacked, the attacker is close to their border, and they already have an agreement in place with another party whom has also been attacked which would kick into gear the mutual military agreement, how is it that the cac media created this narrative of the Eritrean army being in the wrong for being involved?
I’m hoping the good breh I met that works with Getty pops up at my job he been going back and forth to Tigray giving me the real scoop and a lot of the media has been talkin bullshyt fr. My only hope is that the fighting was ceased and in exchange the dam issue will be resolved thoroughly. Though I highly doubt that because what leverage does Abiy have at this point?
Bruh, I’ve had many moments where America alienated the fukk outta me and this gotta be one of the most earth shaking moments for me. We always talk about the times America is on the wrong side but when it comes to Africa it couldn’t be more apparent. Ethiopia has been a symbol of Black liberation and regality since the early 19th century. The British tried to destroy us after WWII and that same idea has lived on through the Woyane and the Agazian movement of so called “Greater Tigray”. As far as I’m concerned fukk Woyane and fukk the “West”.
