They didn't. Horizon sold well and it continues to sell according to the NPD.

Ashly was on a Twitch stream for Girls make games and of course someone asks her for some chat on the upcoming DLC and although she can't say much she did say it felt like a must play to her akin to the Shadow Broker DLC for Mass Effect 2.

She also said it was a lot of fun for her to do and allowed her to do some different stuff with Aloy and she felt it had the feel of a big summer blockbuster movie about it.

I keep seeing people saying this game was/is being snubbed from all the awards

It’s not a snub, this game just doesn’t do anything remarkable apart from the graphics, it’s definitely the best looking game this year, but there literally isn’t anything else that this game does better than Elden Ring or Ragnarok

It doesn’t help when the protagonist is extremely boring and annoying
