To put something in perspective for you: Online trolls who make statements like that for shock value and negative attention have proven to be sociopaths in real life. There was a study on it and even a documentary that exposed some trolls from the UK. They claim they do it because "The victim shouldn't care anyway" but that's just an excuse they make. Getting mad and letting them know you are offended causes you to "lose" an imaginary "game" they are playing. They are the same way in real life.
