I didn't have any expectations for him because I knew from the jump drafting him was the wrong play. He's not even having the impact of an average player (even scrubs like DeAndre Jordan are getting the best of him), let alone a #2 pick who was supposed to be the next generational big man. You keep saying he needs more time, but he's not going to change who he is. I keep needing to reiterate this.

He's not going to suddenly wake up one day and realize he's 7ft and start playing like it. He's not suddenly going to wake up one day and be purposeful with what he does on the floor.

Y’all drafted a project at #2. Nothing about Wiseman prior to the draft said he would come in and make an immediate impact. His development got slowed down by the injury. We can agree to disagree if he’ll ever be better than what he is currently.

He’s an easy scapegoat for fan boys. It’s clear Steve Kerr can’t coach, Klay isn’t himself, Draymond is useless, and they’ve spent money on guys who aren’t moving the needle (Jamychal Green-washed, Divencenzo-hurt).

The same people blaming Wiseman are the same ones who said he wasn’t any good in the first place. He’s not playing major minutes and he’s not playing with the best players, so his +/- stats don’t mean much.
He says this after they've won four titles in eight years. If he keeps repeating it one day it might come true. The same guy who said that Paschall was going to replace Draymond. The same guy who said Wiseman was going to be a superstar.

I should hope he gets better than he is currently, but he'll more likely than not be the same type of player: soft, doesn't play to his size, bad hands, can't create for himself regularly, near non-existent defense etc. While it may appear on the surface he gets better at doing specific things, it's unlikely he'll turn into a player of note.

You can see the drive in players by the time they're 21, and he simply doesn't have it.

This Loyola Marymount style "defense" is not going to cut it.
:birdman:

Wigs has been ass the past two games. Offensively, AND defensively. Did he get a bad batch of weed? He has ZERO aggressiveness out there. Need more consistency from him. At least rebound and defend when the shot's not falling.

Poole is showing why he was worth every penny of that extension. He's still a flashy wizard out there, but more in control than previous years. Efficiency is way up. Defense, off the ball specifically, is greatly improved. He's playing that Igoudala style strip and steal D.

Dray has been balling. Bringing the necessary intensity. One of the few on the Dubs playing with purpose. He does have his own personal motivations, besides general team success.

Steph is Steph, but he's already playing too many minutes trying to get these early season wins. Smells a little desperate from Kerr.

Moody, JaMichael, and even Ty have been solid.

Klay, Wiseman, and Kuminga tho..

Kuminga looks like a deer on the street out there

:damn:

Is he really that lost? Haven't watched the warriors much this year but he was get so much hype. It sounded like he was going to have a breakout year looking like Bennedict Mathurin.

He's definitely not lost. He's just more passive,, understandably so. He still makes all the right reads on both ends of the floor.

What does COLI think of Kuminga's lack of playing time?

I think Wiseman still got all the physical gifts, he'll get opportunity
