Atheism is becoming a cult, ironically they do exactly what religious people do.
Most of these so called atheist had a bad experience with Religion, or they just regurgitate what they've heard from others.
A Real atheist like Christopher Hitchens, Richard Dawkins, etc. have dedicated their lives to back up what they believe in.
Not like the majority of these kids who became atheist after watching the Zeitgeist, or some rap song that made them convert.

The evidence of absence isn't that absence of evidence. We're just not there yet.... what's so dumb about that? Yes dumb line of reasoning. I don't have the capbility to prove it but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Just a few years ago there was plenty of things we couldn't prove because we didn't have the means to perceive it. You might hate religion or not beleive but you can't say for certain that it's completely 100% wrong.

It's more like men in power created a set of rules based on fear and associated it with this being so that they can monopolize power and control others for their benefit.

What I mean is that no matter what standard you have for "intelligent design," the human body falls short of it. The only way around it is by resorting to a circular (logically fallacious) argument- the body was designed because it is how it is, and it is how it is because it was designed, which reinforces my original point that these kinds of beliefs are matters of faith, not logic.

Please tell me how the human body falls short of intelligent design? Everything around you is proof of intelligent design. Why? Because of the conditions that are necessary for things to work so perfectly and cohesively. Because of the laws that allow everything to work so well for us on a planet where life is possible. The chances for all these things to come together are more than miniscule, they're damn near impossible to happen by chance, yet here we are.

nobody REALLY knows what happens. i'm no atheist, but i usually shoot theface to the concept of heaven or hell. only way to REALLY know is to die. everything else is speculation. i don't believe that absolutely nothing happens when you die. i also don't believe that you go to some mystical place like heaven or supreme evil place like hell and there is no middle ground. i don't know what to believe. i'll just wait until my day comes and i'll find out then. until then, i'll just enjoy my time on this shythole we call earth....

That's the thing, though- "perfection" and "cohesiveness" are myths. The only way you can have that view of nature is if you ignore the vast majority of unruliness, chaos, destruction, etc. That holds true as much of the human body as of the universe as a whole. These temporary oases of order and stability are miniscule and fleeting. Most of the universe can't support life. Even on our planet, 99.9% of all the life that has ever existed on it went extinct. That doesn't seem like perfection, order, or cohesiveness to me. As for the chances of this fleeting, imperfect "order" existing being low, that doesn't imply design, any more than you winning the lottery implies that someone rigged it for you to win. Low odds things happen all the time without design involved.
