This is pretty common among both sexes and if we are talking about black people in the US it is very popular. Jaded women give up on love and would rather quench that motherly desire by having a child alone. Men still not ready to settle down go around planting seeds and having babies without commitment. They both get what they want without heartache and headache I guess.

I work in showbiz. Mainly PA and CA work. Maybe I'll transition into producing... Its a busy fukking day for everyone. Average days are 12 - 16 hours, five days a week. The job leaves little time for relationships, let alone new relationships, or family. If she has support good for her. But yeah, it might be hard for her to hold a family if she is constantly busy. People think its super glamorous. It's tiring, long and frustrating hours... The stars/actors often have even longer days.

been over 50% for well over 2 decades breh. :francis:

and thats not counting separations.

Where in that page are you getting that number from? The CDC doesn't even have complete marriage/divorce data nor can you determine a divorce rate from looking at one-year results. :gucci:

It's literally never been over 50% and its been going down in recent decades, not up. You're looking at the #'s wrong.

In the early 2000’s author Shaunti Feldhahn began examining the data and statistics behind the divorce rate. After an investigative study that stretched into years (yes, it took that long) her findings debunked the myth. She found that in the U.S. the divorce rate has only approached the 50% mark one time (in the late 1970s and early 1980s), and has never since reached that level. According to her research, the current, overall divorce rate is probably closer to 33%.

Finally, Some Good News About Divorce

The common statistic that 'half of marriages end in divorce' is bogus

50% Divorce Rate? No. | Goldberg Jones | Divorce For Men

The 50% divorce rate stat is a myth, so why won’t it die?

I worked in an IVF clinic years ago.

Most of the women making £100k+ were either lesbians or using sperm donors.

The biological shaming I witnessed in that industry makes The Coli look pro-single motherhood.

Even the doctors and psychologists were in on it.

whatd you experience?

They almost never do. Weird cause some of the complaints here are logical yet this is the exact same site where #GMB gets 100 daps automatically and posters constantly clown anyone who wifes a single mom.
one dont belong with the other. nice try though.

Wifing a single mother (especially when you have no kids) is nowhere near a chick deciding whether or not her child needs a father.

You nikkas playing stupid or what?

This is completely false, it's closer to 35%
This is probably accounting for that older generation that don’t get divorced like that. Newer generations get divorced a lot more often. First person I knew personally got divorced at 25. Someone else I know , his just went final when he was 39

I have no problem with this. She is self made and has her own money. If she for whatever reason DESIRES to be a single mother, that's on her and her child. None of my business.
It’s not about her or having money.

I can’t even imagine being an adolescent growing up and you see kids throwing the football around, or their dads giving them a haircut, or fixing a car together and you ask your mom where is my dad and she says “don’t worry about it I chose this life for us”

With me growing in age and seeing more and more people’s true self through social media and the internet it is absurd how selfish and self-thinking adults are. It’s sad
