Dude....your last 4 statements have nothing to do with the topic. U keep going on a tangent that has nothing to do with the topic. c00n this c00n that but you keep going off topic...

:francis:

I'm not going off topic you idiot. I'm purposely pointing out how your view of your culture is WRONG AND INFLUENCE BY HATE. IM POINTING OUT CRIMINALIZATION IN YOUR THEORY.

You think you can make these blanket statements, racist statements, and they don't matter because your end goal is supposedly righteous

:blessed:
Hip Hop was about fun and friendly battles between crews and emcees w/o the talk of violence or homicide as these sensitive lil negras are. We had P.E. X Clan, Poor Righteous Teachers, Native Tongues, and etc, who made us proud of who were are, rocking black medallions, even had us picking up bibles and korans, and studying 120 lessons to better ourselves... Cacs was like :picard:... and that scared them... seeing Unity, and strength in numbers..

We went from being black and proud, to proud of being the nikkas that the cac created in the first place.

Sir. This is wrong.

Proud of being nikkas? What are you ashamed? You would prefer us to behave more like the white man? Less like criminals?

So you believe that all creativity from our culture should be teaching us how to behave like white men in America?

Pick up a bible or Koran, giving to you by slave masters. And degrade you own religion/culture? Tell them what they can and can't talk about in order to make true art (art like the white man)

How do y'all not see the c00n in that?

Real talk, a lot of people have an unhealthy addiction to minstrel rap. They in denial, like crackheads that smoke behind closed doors, but go to work daily.

People rep up and down that rap is for "the streets" until accountability comes to play, then they downplay it as "its just entertainment" to avoid constructive criticism.

For some, they rather get their limbs amputated before giving up ignant rap songs and hot beats.

What is an ignorant rap song?
Explain that to me. Explain to me what makes it ignorant.

Real talk a lot of you have an unhealthy hatred for yourself and your culture.

- Black men bragging about killing other Blackmen
People tell stories they can relate to. They are around other black men. Their stories, whether reality or fiction, reflect an environment they know. Black people and culture.
- Black Men bragging about selling drugs in their community
Drug dealers have money from the community and inside the community. They are like soldiers of their society. It is not their fault their is a war. Also, they were spreading oral tradition of an era that was happening that you would have no other record of if it wasn't for rap. You would only have the white version of crack if it wasn't for rap. The criminalizer version. The one you obviously believe.

- Black men refering to Blackwomen as bytches and hoes
Seriously? Culturally, we assimilate words and create language arts. nikka is the perfect and easiest example. ENGLISH is the language of ENGLAND. your oppressor. Redifining and using words differently culturally is a strength of our community. The power you give them is all your own. So miss me with his hoe shyt.

- Blackwomen accepting being called a bytch and a ho(Prior to Hip Hop the only time a woman accepted this on an open level was if she was in the nightlife of the underworld)

More hoe shyt? Accepting being called a bytch? It's a word. Anybody can use it however and whenever the fukk the want. Stop acting like a bytch about it.

- Blackmen bragging about sleeping with other Blackmens wives
Another European concept you are pushing on your African culture. But you got it. But again, romance is a theme in art. All types of romance. Rap can have its versions of romance.

- Blackmen making light of hurting/killing children
Music is art. It can be both fun, romantic, scary, "hard, sexy. It doesn't have to abide by your subjective morals.

- Blackmen boasting of their financial status to an audience of people who aren't rich as if to shove it in their faces like snobs.
Again your subjective opinion. If nikkas been broke 500 years, why you not expect nikkas getting money to not be in our oral tradition. You just still broke, especially by your own European standards, so your mad and feel envious.

Blackmen condoning illegal activity and boasting after the illegal activity is complete

The activity is only illegal because the are black men. The laws are not even from your European god. They are from the white man. Purposely to criminalize you. Your whole culture is a crime. Everything you do as a black man makes you a criminal, and if any other race or gender does it, they are citizens

- Grown Blackmen dressing like teens and acting like teens

Again your weak and subject opinion

- Blackmen proudly speaking ignorant.
HA! What is speaking properly. Mastering your slave masters ENGLISH! Ha! Lol told you that you were a c00n! I told you! Lmao. Nothing screams c00n like "you didn't say that right nikka" that's not how masa would say it. Lmao. FoH. Since you need a break down. Here you go. c00n.

All of the above was self inflicted....No one outside of our race created these images...we(Hip Hop) did...Notice how I dont exclude myself because I cant. I am a contributing factor to all of this as well because I supported it for years, as with so many others. In the late 80's the music of NWA and 2 Live Crew were distributed independently...they weren't pushed by a "machine" so all that conspiracy theory nonsense goes right out the window. No one forces rappers to flash guns or speak on camera about beef with other Blackmen.(I remember Kid Capri saying he refused to ever talk about anyone he ever had beef with openly...Different times different era I guess)

Blah blah blah. "I hate black culture, it disgust me. Look at how they dress. How they talk. How they act. Look at them breaking massa laws."

:comeon:

Um...No. You went off topic, I am not the topic.......thats all u been talking about in this thread..Me. Smokeurobinson is not the topic.....and my view of Black culture is not dictated by this one thread. Thats something u made up when u went left to go off topic to talk about me. I notice your not even addressing any of the counter points in this thread by others. You went off topic to talk about what u think of me and as long as u keep doing that and avoiding the overall topic, I'll just ignore u from here on out.

This is the umpteenth time U destroyed ya argument with ya own evidence

The article u posted states;

The angry Black man image was prominant in NYC newspaper publications

:snoop:NYC publications are not Black owned...here we go again

Blaxploitation films were not intended to promote stereotypes

:snoop:

Black actors and directors intended to reverse the roles African Americans played in cinema

:snoop:

You just going in circles again because I already pointed out from that Docu clip u posted that Blaxploitation wasn't intended to create stereotypes it jus turned out that way.....U then posted an article that confirmed this....LOL

:heh:

Just by the article u posted and the docu..U cant say the the intentions were there like with NWA. Dr Dre said staright up they wanted to make records like Richard Pryor. That right there is going in with bad intentions compared to Blaxploitation. The song "Gangsta Gangsta" is a song about Cube having a shotgun and looking for shyt to start with rivals.....Thats from their first album. Yet u compare that to Blaxploitation tha didnt intend on pushing stererotypes? :what:

I hate how I respond to everything yet u duck when I point things out to you...This is the 3rd time You've ducked shyt and its standing out..Meanwhile U kept saying I'm slithering yet have responded to everything U have thrown in my direction :francis:

There is an oral tradition... that is centuries old... that was recreated here in the Americas. Hip hop is/was the latest commercialization of that tradition and culture.

Within that oral tradition, history is told. Our history includes crack, murder, a no daddy period, etc... the reality of it is part of the value. But the art of it Can/does still exist.

Within that art can be all kinds of forms of creative expression and entertainment. That do not have to be limited to anyone's subjective morals. Especially those based on their European traditions.

Like as a bytch ass brain washed c00n, it is your right to get on the internet and hate on your culture. It is your right to wish to be funny and white.

It is your right as a hoe ass nikka to use celebritiy emojis and take away my internet cool point.

But I don't understand where you brainwashed, dumb, no self knowledge ass nikkas get off... coming on a rap message board.... a black culture board.... and call black culture in any form IGNORANT?!

Ignorant of what?
Ignorant compared to what?
What makes it ignorant.

Cause a white man said so. I need to wake up one day and realize that hoes like you are the 99%

You compare your culture to a standard set by your oppressor... you criticize your culture for existing despite it... and talk down on it FOR your oppressor...

Just weak

People should be free to express themselves. Damn what cacs think. Which seems to be OPs main concern hidden behind "concern" of the black community.

OP must not realize that all forms of black music have always been criticized one way or another by the white community. The Jazz he speaks of was blamed for the spread of Marijuana use in middle america. Jazz players were accused of hypnotizing white women and promoting degenerate lifestyles. Same with the blues and R&B which were criticized as hyper-sexual and savage.

Black people need to realize racism is irrational. White people who are racist are not racist because of music videos or how black men are portrayed in Hip-Hop, they hate us because we are black. When black men didn't sag their pants, wore suits and generally exhibited an almost subservient demeanor towards whites, the racist still hated us and abused us due to our subservient demeanor.

So let's cut the shyt with blaming music on how black men are perceived. These racists don't need a reason to hate us. When we were subservient, they hated and abused us. When we spoke up and became assertive, it frightened them and they hated us.

:childplease:

Nope. U R Wrong.

I could give a damn what white people think about how Black folks express themsleves.

U obviously aren't paying attention. I already pointed this out but I'll repeat it for you. We saw hip Hop have a Conscious movement that was beautiful. Public Enemy, BDP, Rakim, Kane, Brand Nubians, X Clan, Poor Righteous Teachers, Ice Cube, Ice T, Arrested Development, A Tribe Called Quest. These entities had us still believing in a possible "Black revolution." Gangsta Rap takes over in 1993 and Hip Hop does a 180. Hip Hop was now stuck in the hood. No more revolution just hood mannerisms and being ghetto fabulous. Common pointed this out on the classic song "I Used To Love HER" in 1994 because of what he witnessed in 1993. 20 + years later its the same story..Hip Hop on a mainstream level is still in the hood being ghetto fabulous, no revolution. Proof: Drake vs Meek Mills was bigger in 2015 then The 20 Year anniversary of The Million Man march. So when I go among the community(Not outside the community like a true uncle Tom would) and I point this out....I get backlash and name called. Thats Wrong. I'm destroying to rebuild. Gotta point out the sickness in order to get to the cure. Thats the main thing I posted in the OP, how do we reverse the damage? I'm not just finger pointing..I'm addressing a problem and trying to figure out a solution to the problem.
