You can say the same thing about film and to an extent, games or any popular form of media

Oversaturation and being connected to everything all at once all the time, ruined us

We don't appreciate shyt and we have no attention span anymore. It's just feed me feed me content and social media really is the culprit. It's all performative horseshyt

I could go on and on and on, but I'll spare y'all lol

Hate to use this beef as an example but Drake understands this

Everything is content now, not art. And we're like gimme gimme gimme

It’s genuinely sad. It’s easily becoming the lowest base form of music. Zero barriers to entry. No gatekeeper protecting the culture. The artists and subject matter rapidly declining. Hard pressed to call it an art form at this point. Now the biggest artist co-signing Ai voice modulation on tracks and a large portion of fans thinking it’s a good move? Yeah OP is right. Hip hop is cooked. I thought the beef would wake hip hop up but it just buried it in my eyes

Drake really got these Kendrick stans in their feelings. That's what this thread is really about. Their favorite MC lost and got bullied and embarrassed by a mixed Canadian. Now they wanna cry about the state of hip hop as if that's something new.. that 90s lyrical style hip hop been dead over 15 years. Don't cry now cause Kenny lost and Cole is p*ssy.

We had a whole era of dudes literally mumbling on records with no discernable lyrics and yall talking about people having ghostwriters in 2024 as if that matters. Dudes don't even rap no more and yall crying about one the few acts that still does. Drake carried the corpse of hip hop for the past 10 years and right now is the only one carrying the competitive spirit of battle rap while Kendrick and j Cole are scared.

This beef has shown me that there's no going back, shyt is changed forever. The way podcasters are being used as paid spokesman, the way (white and Indian owned) gossip rags dominate how rap news is consumed, the way music journalists have been pushed out, etc. Not just hip hop BTW. Look at what's going on with the new Taylor Swift album, where some publications are reviewing it without listing the article author for fear of death threats. Look at the way Rolling Stone hired a literal stan to review the album. This wasn't even happening when pop acts were selling millions of records in a week back in the 90s.

We prob aren't far from a legendary music artist's estate agreeing to let a label release new, fake music with the help of AI. It's been used to "restore" a Beatles song already, how long before we get 100% fully AI shyt from Tina Turner or the other artists whose catalogs have been sold?

soon its gonna be bots arguing over their favorite AI artists.....its their time :wow:

Lost where? This shyt ain't over :what:

Plus Even if K.dot used AI it would have been seen just as corny. It's these stan wars, podcast hot takes and cornballs with voices( Akademiks, Kai Cenent, Adam 22, Wack100, Vlad) that's polluted the game terribly
