The livestream is important so people can call in.As for the future and HH4E's bandwidth issues, I think the livestream is not really that important but I think it would be good if we had faster turnaround for the audio file.. I'm still unclear about why that takes so long

And I don't know why you keep complaining about the turnaround time. He has a life, dude. You can't expect it to be up within one hour every time. After #2 you were asking why it's taking so long for the audio file and it hadn't even been 24 hours. He told us he had to go to work after the podcast. So he went to work that night, probably came home and went to sleep, then uploaded it the next afternoon. I don't see why it's a problem unless it's been more than a couple of days.
you keep missing my point though. I want to know from a technical standpoint why it takes a while? Like does he need to join the segments and that takes time, what is the thing he does with it?
So having a show that god forbid may take up to 12-20 hours before it's uploaded onto podomatic due to the fact that the host has a job and a life outside of the coli that probably entails priorities that outrank editing and uploading a podcast within a matter of a few hours is more important to you than having a functioning livestream so that other posters can listen and call in in real time and contribute to the conversation? You guys want a livestream--that's important to you--a dozen people badger him about and that pink writing dude extra disrespectfully every week, and I can't ask how something that's important to me (listening to the show) requires a delay? My conception is that it should only require hitting save and hitting upload .. so I want to know if there's more than that involved.
You care about the show as a live thing. I care about it as a time-shifted thing. We have different concerns based on that.
HHL4E said the issue is his uploading bandwith sucks. I don't know what one can do about that.Technical stuff does need to be worked out. Biggest problem I hear on this end is probably the internet connections and the use of internal mics. A small investment into a decent Mic will make a huge difference. The fact that I can clearly hear when the sound on the MacBook is being turned up or down gives it away.
Yes, he does need to join segments and edit it. I don't know how that process works, but I do know as you should too being a participant that there were technical problems in terms of him having to cut off the convo then call us all back several times. So he has to splice those segments together.

I have not read the previous posts, is he on a wireless connection? He needs to reboot his router and modem and go wired. It will help significantly. Turn off Wifi on his phone, make sure nothing else is connected. Limit it to that single wired connection and he should be fineHHL4E said the issue is his uploading bandwith sucks. Well, if you're not clear about the process, you need to stop interrupting my question for him and let him answer then
But checking his bandwidth with comcast took time. Setting up the podcast takes time. Hooking up a livestream takes time. He said he setup $150 of equipment/software for this. Everything he does is going to take time and money regardless. We appreciate it, I just want to know if there's a way to expedite the time it takes to listen
Why are you being so sensitive about this? I just want to listen to the show, damn. On this third podcast I wasn't even there, I wanted to listen to you and you're mad about that. I can't figure it out. Just let him let us know and we'll see if we can help. I can record the audio if needed.
what are the topics for next week
and who is handling the technical logistics for the show
and are we sticking with 9pm?
Ive actually rewired my house, and the issue is my uploading speeds are crap. Im getting 22 MB download and only 0.5 MB upload. I will be calling ATT to figure out why my uploading bandwith is crap, but in the meantime someone else may have to call in and livestream the podcast when we record next time.
Also, someone else should record the podcast as well when we broadcast so there will be a backup.
