I think price is the biggest reason.

That doesn't make any sense either, because most of the Sony stans were bragging about PS3 being more expensive than 360.

"You peasants can pay less for inferior hardware, we're a rare breed that doesn't mind paying more for the best". That was the Sony battle cry for the first half of the last gen. Now it's been flipped, because XBOX1 is more expensive.

Does it sound familiar? It should, that's what PC gamers are saying to console users. Only how it's :whoa: and plea copping "we don't necessarily want to spend that much, this is good enough".

I don't know about all that. Hypocrisy is on both side of the camps. Im not trying arguing about that.

All im saying is i think price is the biggest factor for general gaming crowd.

What I'm saying is this board ain't the general gaming crowd. Or they portray themselves as such.

You seem new here, and/or probably never posted back on SOHH. The shyt I'm saying stretches back literally years. You (not you, I mean whoever) can't say "money is no object, we want the absolute best" because you stan Sony, then complain that a gaming PC is too expensive. You can't sit here arguing about GPUs and 1080p and RAM and then :whoa: "hold on, that's too nerdy" when people start talking about PCs. That card was permanently removed from the deck years ago.

Easily. I had a 8800 GTX Ultra in 2006. It can still play Battlefield on high settings with 64 players
an 8800 GTX was a $600-$650 card back then though. Not adjusted for inflation that is higher than the price of the consoles at the time (PS3 was pushing that but still) and that's just a graphics card. I mean a real midrange graphics card from back then running games today at 720p at the quality of a Beyond Two Souls.

whats with coli members adding $100-200 to every price tag ? I had a 8800 GTX Ultra and it was $550 after taxes. Technology has advanced so much and engines change, they are more CPU dependent now than GPU so a high powered CPU with a mid level GPU will still do you great

$500 still isn't a midrange

i mean console money doesn't equate to PC money. on a PC i spend my money up front and get the games dirt cheap. on a console i spend less money up front and spend more on the games. still though you not gonna be able to pull a midrange PC from 2005-2006 and get the level of graphics from modern games that those consoles are delivering now.

Can a GTX 7800 do that today in a game? At times when i was playing that game i had to double take it looked so lifelike.

You clearly missed the part where I said games TODAY are more CPU dependent than games before ? And that the combination of a high end CPU with a mid level GPU TODAY is better than it was previously ?? Ive said this like 3-4 times already bruh...

I can understand if you're a kid or a teenager and you need to be given one as a gift but why would a grown ass man want to buy hardware that is already outdated by about two years?

720p? 900p? 30 fps? All this on the equivalent of medium graphical setting?

In 2013 breh?

It probably could considering that game is an interactive drama. Your cable box could probably run it.
