Arguably is a choke considering they were just in the ECF last season and ran it back with essentially the same team. All season long people said that seeding didn't matter this year, so let's not use it as an excuse now.

its not a choke if they were never favored to win.
You can still choke even if you aren't favored to win especially if you're coming out with pitiful performances like they are. They'd actually be putting up a good fight IMO if their role players could have kept it going for one more series instead of picking the worst possible time to revert back to midseason form.

its not if denver is just better. theyre defending about as well as they possibly can given their personnel and what they have to deal with. their shooting has reverted back to what they usually do, which isnt choking imo. if they were collectively shooting much worse than the regular season, then ya
miami went super saiyan from 3 in game 2 and that game still came down to the last shot. denver hasnt even been shooting that well but their 3 wins have looked like a walk in the park

All that talk after Game 2 of making Jokic more of a scorer than a passer (hence his four assists) was short-lived. He had four assists in Game 4 too and the Nuggets still managed to blow Miami out the damn water.

its choking if they get significantly worse than what they've done all season, not if they return to form
what they've done this postseason is overachieved, not choked. missing their two best guards, their best player gets hobbled in round 2 and hasn't been the same since, caleb martin prolly had covid right before the finals. they've managed to get it done up until now but the clock struck twelve. denver making cinderella give up the glass slippers isn't miami choking, that's just basketball
as for gabe vincent im sure miami's happy they won't have to cash him as heavily
