Body language + media narrative really hurting breh
How is someone who is basically a lock to average 12 rebounds and 1.5+ blocks lazy
Is he more lazy than Joel Embiid? KA Towns? More lazy than Jokic coming out on a switch? :russ:
If you watch them dudes you know they all "conserve energy", either defensively or overall. cmon now, ppl just don't like Whiteside and the aloof narrative is easy to ride with

Remember coaches talk among themselves.

WHiteside has always had a reputation for being uncoachable thus why he was out of the league after his first 2 years.

The Heat then found him working out in a gym and gave him a non-guaranteed contract. He took it. Played well. Taunted all the other coaches in the league that didnt sign in or cut him but played within the Heat system and did what he was told. We then gave him the max.

And that's when his uncoachable side reared its ugly head again. He was a headache to the coaching staff for 3 years and we couldnt find anyone who would touch him and that contract despite him putting up big numbers. He was lazy on defense. Wanted to do his own thing and go after blocks instead of team defense. Wanted the ball every time on offense. Ignored called plays on offense and defensive assignments.

Miami had to suspend him a few times and were finally able to unload the contract trading him and had to take in some awful contracts in return.

So no. Hassan has ruined his own name in many front offices in the league. He was disrespectful to the Kings coaching staff. Taunted Doc Rivers on live TV interview for not signing him. Disrespected Spoelstra many times during games. You cant help people who burn bridges like that because you put your good name on the line to bring them in and they'll make you regret it and burn not their own bridges but those you, who brought him in, built for yourself. It's sad because the man is talented as fukk

Facts. But a couple teams would take him...but he’s got an overinflated value of himself. Still trying to get a big contract. And shii I can’t blame him that’s gotta be as humbling as fukk to watch guys like Plumlee and Baynes get 7-9 mil per year and you’re putting up 3 times the stats and they getting picked over u. shyt the Wizards signed Robin Lopez over him....Blazers replaced him with fukkin Enes Kanter. That alone should tell u what a headcase this nikka must be

A dumb person from Gastonia, NC?! I can't believe it :coffee:

but in all honesty, Hassan is a top 5 big in the league. He can playmake and knock down a 3 at will. Not to mention his ability to guard all 5 positions. Dude will get a job real soon
Playmake?! Have you seen him play? He’s a black hole when he gets the ball. His highest assist per game avg came last year and it was 1.2. He averages 0.7 for his career. That’s one of his biggest weaknesses. When he touches it, he’s shooting it.

His heart aint in it. A 2nd Rd pick. He was an afterthought and out the league for 2 years. Left for dead. Then hustled his way back into the league and got a huge check.

Once he got his check it was wrap. He already won. He made 100 million in 4 yrs. He never got paid more than 700k for his 1st 5 yrs.

:yeshrug: I understand.

he is who he is at this point. did you not see how much better the blazers were with nurkic on the floor? the heat benched him before he left and there were better off for it. this dude doesnt offer much for the modern game
This isn’t true . I remember times in the playoffs where they looked much better with Whiteside on the floor

If the team that shall not be named get him

Its gonna be a revolt :francis:
Team(s) that shall be nameless. Two of them play in the same state.

Emptiest numbers in the history of the game. All these GM’s care about nowadays are advanced numbers for bigs....and Whiteside dont have that. nikka’s career really bout to do a full circle...he going out the way he came in:wow:
Until he contributes alongside a player like LeBron, or in the right system. Then the script gets flipped and his value skyrockets again. I still think Hassan can be of value in this league in the right system.
