I mean, when Portland goes out and says they're not signing Whiteside then trades for Kanter they kinda let you know what type of time Whiteside is on.
THe shame of it is when you look at him physically, the kid is built the way you want your prototype 7 footer to be built. Face it most 7 footers look goofy as fukk with few exceptions. He's strong, fast, can jump, has a great 12 - 15 foot jumper, can block shots, can dominate the boards, excels at the pick and roll on offense.

Too bad he wants to do his own thing which often causes fukks up the rest of the team and has the nerve to yap when you bench him.

I wonder if one day once his career is over he will reflect and realize he squandered so much of his potential. He's got the physical ability to be great.

Someone give the homie a job, damnit. :mjcry:
He'll get a contract. He's too talented to be left out again . But i'm sure most coaches are afraid of bringing him in so there will be clauses in his contract .

I can see a team with strong veteran locker-room presence signing him. Lakers maybe. You dont want Hassan around a young locker room like the Hawks or any other young team. He'll be a bad example to the young players with his antics and as he disrespects the coaching staff continuously, the young players will then start to do the same

A dumb person from Gastonia, NC?! I can't believe it :coffee:

but in all honesty, Hassan is a top 5 big in the league. He can playmake and knock down a 3 at will. Not to mention his ability to guard all 5 positions. Dude will get a job real soon

The weird part to me is Pat Riley paid the man. Pat usually don't pay cats that don't hustle.

It’s really hard to see why Whiteside is so frustrating unless you watch him play consistently and you have to pay attention to him when he’s NOT holding the ball.

He’s a 2K player who builds a very “meta” character, will put up good stats at a glance, and still accomplish NOTHING.

It’s the weak contests when asked to contest further than 10 feet out of the paint.

It’s watching him half-heartedly set a no-contact screen before rolling to the paint and then clogging up the lane despite having no real advantage but complaining he doesn’t get touches.

It’s watching him get a rebound on defense and hold it for 5 seconds rather than looking ahead for quick passes and easy transition buckets.

Its watching him chase blocks because he’s undisciplined and consistently being out of position because he will literally miss his defensive assignments to chase a block that he doesn’t need to chase.

Dude is a perfect example of natural talents gone to waste and why basketball IQ is the difference maker

Remember Riley loves 7footers that can anker a defense. Also Remember he was hustling when we first signed him off the street. He behaved the first year and a half. It's once he got the max contract that he showed his ass
