People said the same about dwight and magee

Lebron is the king of the knuckle head rings

JR
dwight
magee
waiters

one of the morris twins

I see a pattern :ehh:
Dwight pre-back injury was a perennial All-NBA & DPOY en route to climbing rebounding and blocking records. He's not in the same box as these other names.

Nahhh he really looked bad in NBA bubble, on his contract year. Imagine you come to the job interview showing no effort or interest, you wouldn't get a job unless the company is extremely desperate. And that's still a big IF.

Averaged 16 points and 14 rebounds along with 3 blocks per game last season...I hear the criticisms of his game but damn.

Mason Plumlee got 25 million the first hour of free agency.

I need the Heat to grab him for the bench.
Remember coaches (head coaches and assistance ) from different teams talk among themselves.

Whiteside has always had a reputation for being uncoachable thus why he was out of the league after his first 2 years as a pro. He was out of the league sitting at home or playing in Europe for 2 whole years.

The Heat then found him working out in a gym and gave him a non-guaranteed contract to get him back in the NBA. He took it. Played well. Taunted all the other coaches in the league that didnt sign in or cut him but played within the Heat system and did what he was told.

We then gave him the max and that's when his uncoachable side reared its ugly head again. :snoop:
He was a headache to the coaching staff for 3 years and we couldnt find anyone who would touch him and that contract via trade despite him putting up big numbers. He was lazy on defense. Wanted to do his own thing chasing after blocks instead of playing team defense. Wanted the ball every time on offense. Ignored called plays on offense and defensive assignments.

Miami had to suspend him a few times and were finally able to unload the contract trading him and had to take in some awful contracts in return just to get rid of him.

So no. Hassan Whiteside has ruined his own name in many front offices and coaching staffs around the league. He was disrespectful to the Kings coaching staff when he was there. Publicly taunted Doc Rivers on a live postgame TV interview for not signing him. Disrespected Spoelstra and the Heat coaching staff many times during games. Now remember may of these coaching staff folks he rubbed the wrong way are now head coaches or assitant coaches all over the league.

You cant help people who burn bridges like that because once you put your good name on the line to bring them in and they'll make you regret. They burn not only their own bridges but those you, who brought him in, built for yourself. It's sad because the man is talented as fukk and should be on his second max (like) contract of his career.

I have no rebuttal. I capitulate your point. The market has spoken and it agrees with you.

I mean, when Portland goes out and says they're not signing Whiteside then trades for Kanter they kinda let you know what type of time Whiteside is on.

I think the only reason(s) Portland wanted in the first place was an insurance policy for Nurkic and potential trade bait for K-Love that never materialized.

If they didn’t help out Miami by taking him for free, then they likely would have had to attach a first to move him.
