I stopped watching 10 minutes into episode 2.
I'm a huge comic fan. But I can't watch that stuff... everything is forced on those shows. No finese or elegance in the writing.

I enjoyed Jada Pinketts character, the one element of the episode they sat down and brainstormed. The other characters, settings, and plot devices are just taken from the comics tossed in a bowl and picked at random and jammed into the show rather unneccessarily. At one point durring the pilot he radio's in that he is on 'Grundy' street.
:snoop: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solomon_Grundy_(comics)
Soon as it opened with Catwoman stealing milk and doing shyt like perching on things for no reason, I knew what it was... but I watched the whole ep cause I give most pilots a chance. I need a show to be well written though. Simply including elements I am familiar with does not make a good show.

I can't watch Agents of Shield or the new one with Sharon Carter's grandma in it, Arrow, or Flash (although the pilot to Flash was very good). I watched all the pilots and like an episode or two... but there are elements in each I just can't take. I could watch Smallville, but thats it really.
:manny: I'm not gonna hate on people that enjoy the shows, I just can't do it.

Hey, anybody that is still watching Flash, is a character named Firestorm on there? Cause in one of the first few episodes I watched the scientist chick (another unneccessary tv character) said something about a guy named Ronnie being missing.

If they cast him as a black dude (like he is in the comics right now) I'll tune back in for a bit.
Otherwise... :mjpls:

I thought it would be cool if they had gotham PD trying to catch an online predator, a man organizing sex trafficking, a daycare kidnapping children, etc etc that would eventually lead to somebody like toy man at the end of the season.

You could still have cameos from potential villains but I wouldn't make it so damn obvious.

Show sucks :yeshrug:

In the comics, Mad Hatter is a pedophile.
But DC doesn't like to let that get out to the tv crowd.
In fact, around the age they have Selina Kyle on that show (what is she like 16?) she isn't supposed to be hanging out with out in a mansion, she is supposed to be on the streets hooking. She was a prostitute/thief that progressed into a cat burglar.
Thats where her charm and distaste of rich people, men especially, comes from when she is an adult. Most of the stuff she steals she believes the person that has it is undesserving of. She won't steal from a poor person or someone she sees as struggling. She has a personal pet peeve with people that live in excess and mistreat others.

I am trying not to but with Arrow and Flash killing the game...it's kinda hard to watch Gotham brehs :to:

I might finish out this season but it's hard man.
I feel the same it's become a chore but it has nothing to do with those CW shows don't watch em :scusthov:, its just not what I thought it was. I don't know if it's the bulletproof protective writing for penguin (which kills any suspense when he's been found out) the lead character who still sux. The amount of batman characters that have already been introduced or the suspect direction tptb seem to be taking the show. But I am close to clocking out permanently

what's good about it? Other than that period around the time of TWS the show just seems to meander. I don't care for any of the characters, coulson should be taking orders not giving them. And centering the show around Skye (who is a divisive character) doing her best Carrie impression isn't exciting to me :ld:

Yep watching it when its on. Like the noir aspect and the not overly serious feel to it.

Regarding people quitting after the opening episodes, it gets better as it goes on imo.

Don't see how you could like Smallville & not Flash, and this is coming from someone who watched Smallville. Flash shyts on it. As for Firestorm he is a character on the show but currently it's fhe Ronnie Raymond & Victor Stein version. Although Jason Rusch ( the black Firestorm) did appear in one episode so he may or may not return to the show.

Pretty much everyone agrees that the Flash is having the best 1st season a comic book show can have and it's only getting better with the last few episodes left.

Plus the creators of the show said Wally would probably make an appearance in season 2, and since he's black now, it might be a chance for some Speed Force Black Excellence or maybe not since they probably won't make him the 2nd Flash anytime soon. Still fam, I'd say out of all the current comic book shows, Flash is the best out right now

I thought that was Toyman who got turned into a a pedophile?
Mad Hatter is a borderline rapist though.

And I can't wait for Peter Petrelli to come in and start wrecking Gordon's world.

I don't know about the new Toyman. I'm talking about the pre-52 Mad Hatter though. Its continually implied over the years until they finally reveal it in the Arkham comic series.
There are alot of villains with toy or kid themes that are not implied to be pedos though (Joker, Trickster, Dollman, Puppetmaster, etc) so I don't know. But I do know at one point Toyman himself was a kid in the comics. He was a lil asian kid if I recall.

I think it might be timing. Cause if Smallville were to come out today I might not watch it. But, at the time it was a breath of fresh air. I enjoyed the pilot to the Flash. I was let down by the first two episodes after that.
Perhaps I'll revisit it.

As for the Speed Force Black Excellence... that is the first thing I thought when I saw who they cast for Iris, cause that would make over half of the Flash's half-black on the show.
Just certain stuff annoys me, like he keeps taking off his mask to talk on the two way radio with those lab interns.

I'll give it another go.
Its not as bad as the other shows, and I do want to see the Flash Rogues. Plus its not :mjpls:like the rest of the superhero lineup.

I recall a storyline where the grown man version of Toyman was going around kidnapping kids and even murdered Cat Grant's son. There were heavy child molester vibes being thrown out about the character in that story.
