Has anyone else given up on Gotham?

I'm not minimizing Miller's role. I just don't see the problem with changing origins when they've all been tampered with in the comics already. Even if Miller's origin is the go-to story right now. I look at Gotham as a "what if" story line. Just like various comic book arcs that have come out in the past.

Yeah, I feel you. I like new takes on things. It just needs to be well written. The writting to Gotham is terrible. I remember in the pilot they had the bad guy store a necklace into a ziploc bag full of cocaine. Unnecessary cameos everywhere... poor pacing. Everyone has on a leather jacket... I just can't do it.

And if Gordon keeps progressing in terms of how badass they have him in the pilot, there is no need for a Batman. He is batman. He's doing rooftoop chases and fistfights... fighting armed thugs without a weapon. One punch KO'ing people.
I watched the pilot and I turned it off a few minutes into the second episode. Peinguin killed two people for a sandwich and I was like 'thats quite enough of that'
Might give Flash a few more episodes. I saw the pilot with Weather Wizard and Zoom, and like two episodes after that.

Miller's isn't the go to anymore either since they changed. She was a petty thief now since the new 52

Yeah the New-52 reboot changed most of the origins.
Superboy is emo now... Batgirl can walk again... they made the original green latern gay (literally, as in homosexual) and a bunch of other nonsense.

I don't really pay attention to anything DC after 2012.
They have Grifter from Wildcats making JLA cameos and all types of nonsense. Its... not for me.

It's 2015 and ya'll are grown men. Don't tell me ya'll are still thinking numbers are an indicator of actual quality.

You know how many mediocre Batman comics have ranked at the top of the comic sales list month in and month out? Example, Tony Daniel's run on Batman and later Detective Comics. shyt was mediocre at best and absolute at worst because it was still at the top of the sales list simply because it was Batman related.

Given up on this show now, that episodes that ends with a cgi jada running up to a dude like the opening credits of X-Men was enough. Gordon still seems amatuer and the show seems to not know what it is

And I can't wait for Peter Petrelli to come in and start wrecking Gordon's world.

I was more so speaking on the quality of the shows than anything else. I would take this first season of Flash over any season of Smallville.

True Superman has better villains but let's not forget he really didn't even start fighting his villains until like season 5 or 6. Most of the early villains were made up for the show.

We already got Flash time traveling in the 1st season. Smallville ran for 10 seasons and besides Clark floating a few times, he didn't even fly. Not to mention he never wore the suit and called himself "The Blur".

I accepted that around the time penguin wiped out the mobsters but after 2 or so months of hanging in there I have come to the conclusion the show sucks

As a comic show its just a mess of pandering nonsense with no direction and half baked ideas.

As a cop its even worse. It has no idea what it wants to be but its filled with lazy writing and bad acting.
