That's why I think Harbaugh is gonna gameplan like a mothafukka for the Saints. He wants to show everyone he made the right decision.

As JLova has said, we are not gonna change our offense just because Kaep has a big arm and scrambles better than Alex. We are still gonna pound the ball and protect our QB as much as possible with the playcalling.

Alex's confidence is shaky as fukk, I agree. But I'm more concerned when he makes mistakes in games (like against the Giants) than situations like this. He's used to getting benched and it's not weird to see him have a great game when no one expects him to or his back is against the wall.

That's one of the big reasons why we kept him, every time it seemed he was going straight to the bushes, he had a performance that leaved you " what if he has a good preseason/stable OC/good coaching/good OL/ETC, ETC".

Please tell me how teams prepare for Alex who is less explosive and doesn't stretch the field?

The sad thing is yall don't watch the games...we were almost in the superbowl last year because of our defense, special teams and running game. Alex was along for the ride and made the occasional play. He is not that important to the offense.

These former QB's in positions of power in the NFL are always lookin' for that "gunslinger/spark" type QB and a quick way out of a bad or mediocre QB situation. Elway didn't even want Tebow on the team and dude went on a winning streak and won a playoff game for them last year. Harbaugh is on the same sh*t. He's probably sees Kap as a younger version of himself. Maybe a Singletary would keep Smith in as the starter but these former QB's, outside of an analyst position on tv, will always go for the guy that has a big arm, balls, and can make some plays. If Steve Young or Dilfer were a head coach or GM of a team they'd start Kap too. They all keep it PC when on the air as a color commentator or analyst

It was about damn time too...Smith has never proven that he should be a starter in the NFL. Its ridiculous how long this BS with him has gone on tbh.

This is such a dumb fukking post because Smith was benched numerous times and shytted on by his coaches numerous times. Him & Sanchez are nothing alike, Alex was never coddled, dude was benched, had to take paycuts and seen other dudes take over his job many times. Sanchez is still patted on the back through failure.

I see most people think this guy started every game for 7 years in a row.
