Yup, he just needed one excuse to throw Smith in the bushes
It was about damn time too...Smith has never proven that he should be a starter in the NFL. Its ridiculous how long this BS with him has gone on tbh.
Sort of like Mark Sanchez...I cannot wait until Rex Ryan is off the jets and Sanchez gets benched immediately.

It wasn't his fault the line couldn't block. It wasn't his fault the receivers couldn't catch the damn ball. It wasn't his fault he had to change coaching staffs every damn year. I mean seriously..give that white boy a break..
And then Harbaugh came in and pretty much coached him RIGHT...and last season he improved GREATLY...and now this year..he has just had TWO bad games, a concussion, and a back up QB who had ONE good game..and then he gets shytted on...and thrown into the bushes

I mean it's one thing if we had a losing record going into week 12, I would understand that...but we are fukking 7-2 right now (and 1 bytch ass tie
)..we are on top of the NFC West..life is good

Saints d is ass tho....I'm not terribly worried about the offense in this game, no matter who the qb is tbh. D is so ass even alex could style on it. Our run game should dominate if anything. Our Defense is what worries me more actually.

^^^^^exactly. Kaep did his thing on MNF, but people are quick 2 forget that alex smith went 14-15 on passes vs the cardinals and he did beat thesaints in a playoff game last yr. I can gaurantee u that the saints defense are gonna prepare for Kaep eve more than the bears did. They will figure Kaep out and game plan for him. I'm not sayin that the saints D is gret, but u give an NFL ream a week to prepare for a 2nd yr qb's 2nd start on the road with a hot team like N.O then it might be problems for Kaep. Its gonna be loud azz hell in that dome, let's hope that Kape doesn't get rattled.
Harbaugh is either gonna look like an idiot or a genius after Sunday. I stil think they should start alex smith

It's a great day for those of us who said Alex did not pass the eye test. I don't care about stats when my eyes tell me differently
coming into his own? all he does is make the safe 5-12 yard throw, or to his check down receiver
1 game all year over 300 yards passing and that was against the bills
Like I said, he has the most deceiving stats I think I've ever seen. Tops in comp% and QB Rating....but when you watch him play and look at what he's asked to do....there's no way in hell he's anywhere near to being a top QB as his stats dictate.
He's near the bottom in 3rd down conversion and yardage of passes traveling in the air.

This. Most basic, QB friendly situation in the league. Alex is playing in the type of offense you'd design for a rookie QB. Takes all the thinking away from him which is why I wanted Kaep starting from the get go. He can execute the O but can stretch the field and extend plays.
We will make the playoffs. Alex was not the driving force in our wins. In all our wins, I believe the D averages like 10 points. You really think Alex would ball out in a shootout in NO?
Kaep gives us the best chance to win in that kind of game.Against the Rams, he led the team to 3 straight scores...could have been 4 if Akers didn't miss the game winner. That's also coming in cold. When he took 1st team reps, he looked pretty damn good, didn't he (Bears game)?
We probably win, but there's no domination. Bears probably hang around and we pull it out in the end....sorta like the SEattle game.

Line looked pretty damn good in the Bears game, didn't it? Receivers were "open" in the Bears game somehow. Maybe it has to do with the actual QB?

He also had 5 turnovers to work with. Regardless, he played well at the beginning and end of that game. But I know clowns will compare Kaep's numbers with Alex's. I doubt we get 5 turnovers. As long as he doesn't turn the ball over, then I think he'll be fine.
I'll never understand comparing stats of a guy who had played 70+ games at that point to a guy who has 1 start under his belt. It's unfair.
Cards game again was Alex living off underneath shyt...which is fine, but watch the game..son was hitting 5 yard passes all game and living off the YAC. HOw some a yall are impressed by that is beyond em.
I can tell you Alex is not going into NO and winning on Sunday if the D isn't lights out.
We have a very basic QB friendly system. The QB is not asked to do much...what makes you think Kaep can't succeed in this type of system? He can do what Alex can and then some. Saints will have to cover the entire field rather than part of it.

This doesnt even help Alex Smith's cause. It was a designed QB run play and Colin runs a 4.5...Imagine what they'd be able to do with him.
