The collector's edition comes with a steel book and a download code!? No disc?
343’s DevVerion July 6, 2015 4 Comments 4672 views News, Xbox One (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); A few days ago gaming website Eurogamer published an article whether 343’s upcoming Xbox One exclusive Halo 5: Guardians can deliver up on its 60 FPS promise. Halo 5 is the first Halo on Microsoft’s Xbox One and 343 has promised a solid 60FPS experience. Earlier it became clear that 343 has dropped the game’s split-screen mode, probably in favor of the game’s frame-rate. This didn’t sit well with the Halo fans as the developer promised earlier that a split-screen mode was being planned. While some might argue that Halo needed change, others argue that the split-screen mode was what made Halo so appealing for those who wished to play some local split-screen or co-op. Although the Eurogamer article does conclude that Halo 5 could be one the best shooters of the year, the article does mention some serious performance issues. On Twitter 343’s development director Frank O’Connor has commented on the article following some tweets from Halo fans. The development director comments that he thinks the story in Halo 5 is fine and that 343 needed to create a game that looks beautiful:
Some of the beauty is expressed in numbers (frame-rate, pixels, resolution, etc) but according to O’Connor a lot of the beauty in the game is subjective aesthetics.
O’Connor adds that while the article is Eurogamer’s editorial speculation, some of it might make up for an interesting technical discussion:
I tend to agree with Eurogamer’s article on this. Halo 5 might well turn out to be ‘the’ shooter of the year but if a company decided to build a game from ground up and achieve a stable 60FPS, the game has to do just that. Subjective aesthetics or not, a stable framerate is needed in games as Halo. I wonder what will happen if a solid experience can’t be achieved, will 343 lower the frame-rate? Will they bring back the split-screen mode if they do? - See more at: http://www.paradiger.com/343s-devel...rogamers-halo-5-article/#sthash.ziJqUGoa.dpuf
I definitely see the difference between 30 and 60 but agree with your overall statement.im just gonna come out and say this... i have never noticed or cared about the difference between 30 and 60fps.. i really just think its something for fanboys to argue about... its all about the gameplay, which halo has... and the multiplayer options, which look to be completely surpass anything we have seen before... ill be throwing down for xbox one and halo 5 on october 27th.. and i assume alot of ps4 owners will aswell

I couldn't stand Halo until Reach, then Halo 4 made me a real fan of the series. I went back and played the original trilogy though and part 1 and 2 were straight to me.I can't wait for this shyt. Between this, Gears, and R6 Siege my competitive gaming this fall will be
To this day I think Halo 4 got a bad rep. I never thought that game was bad, and after I played the beta for this one

If you play a FPS that's 60fps for a while, and then switch to a game that's 30fps you will notice the difference immediately. I will never understand how it's possible for people NOT to be able to tell the difference in a FPS. That's the one thing I hate about Destiny is that it's 30fps... especially with how the multiplayer is. You feel like a tank at times when trying to turn around or track someone who's above or below you. That wouldn't be the case if the game were 60fps. Tracking moving targets is much easier with double the framerate.im just gonna come out and say this... i have never noticed or cared about the difference between 30 and 60fps.. i really just think its something for fanboys to argue about... its all about the gameplay, which halo has... and the multiplayer options, which look to be completely surpass anything we have seen before... ill be throwing down for xbox one and halo 5 on october 27th.. and i assume alot of ps4 owners will aswell
