It's generational. My generation, 30 and under, will in large part, be debt slaves. That's no myth. I do not know the exact time period but I know that the discourse is a fairly new observation.

It's not even about producing or consuming anymore, a lot of it is essentially betting on how much things will cost or how companies will do. It's not even about products or physical things anymore, it's creating money by betting on money.

This....our whole economy is pretty much predicated on phantom wealth, and a consumerist economy powered by debt. We dont really make sht anymore....ingenuity and creativity are practically curse words now.
