"I cant believe liberals are serious at all."
^exactly.
Me too.I really hope you don't go out in the real world showing your stupidity.
You're confusing capitalism with corporatism again, as is common around here
No, i was referring to myself not Milton.Capitalism leads to corporatism... Something's wrong with you man. You thinking Milton is talking about anything but economic freedom.
"Capitalism leads to corporatism"
Corporatism is a subset of capitalism.
No, i was referring to myself not Milton.
"Capitalism leads to corporatism" This could be true, but I haven't accepted it as an absolute yet.
I know you're talking about the cultural and idealogical differences but goddamn, you guys are comparing a nation of 8 million people to a nation of 315 million.
Our politicians don't even try and when people say the platitude you just type, it gives them the freedom to continue to fukk up, instead of figuring out how this works. Also, "The New Deal" seemed to work fairly well.
I'm all for exchanging ideas but you're comparing apples to oranges. While they are both fruit they are not the same. Its like training someone one on one where you have a lot of control over the situation versus training an entire say 6th grade class where some follow, some fall behind, and some dont give a shyt. You can't apply the same logic and rules to 315 million people as you would 8 million.
Did you read what I typed? When did I endorse the OP topic as designed for America? Socialism has worked and in fact is responsible for the large middleclass that America enjoys today. Our politicians have no accountability to keep it like that because people like you don't even make them try with the cop-out "scale factor" platitude.
Scale factor is not a cop out. What works for 5 people may not work for 25 people. Did you read what I typed? I didnt say socialism doesnt work. I said you can't have the same policies in place for a small nation as they would be for a large nation. "People like you" live in a dream world and don't understand all of the moving parts.
The modern definition of Corporatism should be a governmental system where the laws favor the corporation over the individual. It's often but not always accompanied by a monetary system which gives favorable considerations to corporate interest over the individual.
This is without a doubt America today. This my defintion, and it won't dare be accepted by academia because academia is a wholly owned corporate subsidiary at this point.
The problem we have in this country as people fighting against plutocracy is that we still allow the plutocrats to define the world around us. We need to be educationg eachother.
