Its a smoker, easy clean up. There’s no direct heat where the foil is. Where the charcoal and wood goes there are 2 racks where i get the grill marks for burgers, steaks, ect ect. No foil there
Ah that's was up. Gotta love the capacity on them offset smokers. Never had one myself. How long one chimney burn for, you get a few hours?

Any of y’all ever used a big green egg? I’m thinking of getting one and throwing my grill in the bushes.

I tasted some chicken cooked on an egg last week and it was legit the best chicken I ever had in my life.

Haven't used one but its on my wish list. You can make some tasty chicken on a offset smoker or grill if you brine it right.

Indeed, yeah i get about 3 or so hrs out one chimney
Once I get more space I'll have to consider it. Was looking at one of them electric smokers that look like a box. But I think the flavor on the offset is better, better than water smokers and kamados too. I got the akorn steel kamado which is hella efficient, but I struggle to get that deep smoke flavor I like on long cooks.

Yeah this is my 1st offset. I love this thing. Got it down too where i know how to control the temperature. Ill have this for awhile but I’ll eventually move on to a Trager.

My first time smoking on this offset. Brisket came out perfect but I didn't get the bark on my ribs like I wanted because I was tired as hell when I put them on and didn't keep the fire as hot as I should. They were still tender tho.

I was excited to get my grill, but it’s been 88 plus degrees steady for the past two weeks, and I’m not trying to be outside. I even hired someone to mow my lawn.

Everywhere...You never there.
I thought that in the back of my mind. Like I'm not making meatloaf as far as using egg :russ:

I've never actually seen how lighter fluid is applied or applied just always around since I was a kid. I:mjlol:

amazes me that negroes still use lighter fluid :mindblown: ...and someone asked me why it’s still being used and I gave the same answer you said: “People saw their daddies and uncles use it since a child and it just stuck with them ... they’ve been doing it that way and eating it that way for so long they’ve gotten accustomed to the lighter fluid taste” :manny:

Cooking with lighter fluid aint a big deal. Chimney isn't necessary

No. IT IS A BIG DEAL

I’mma try the snake method on my grill for some ribs this weekend to get a little smoker - style action goin . I just need to go ahead and get a real smoker tho :snoop:

I absolutely hate using briquettes but they’ll probably keep the heat better than lump coal. We’ll see .

That exactly what it lol. Not sure if it was touched on but what's the problem with it? When folks stop? Is it because of the chemicals in it or a taste thing?

Ribs be on point, and its super easy. Not at the point where i want to smoke ribs for 6 hours, this does it in 3.5 and they RIGHT.

Now all I use is a cotton ball and rubbing alcohol. Balled up newspaper with a small amount of veg oil also works
