:lupe:

:salute:No homo, but I thought of you after Jerome got killed last night like "@MartyMcFly will clarify this shyt for me tomorrow".

Appreciate the nod breh lol. You should definitely read the killing joke if you get a chance to. But don't think of it as his origin. He's got many origins in the comics and each writer decides which is canon or they come up with their own which is completely in the spirit of the character
Or just look at this

I think they killed him off because he was never intended to be the joker for real. Joker doesn't have a true origin and i think they wanted to keep that in tow
I used to think Joker's orign was the 1 they used in the 1989 Batman movie.

Nope. Well part of that is part of the origin they used in the killing joke and other batman comics where he was dropped into a vat of chemicals but he's got several origins, and since he's normally the one telling the story and he's an unreliable narrator, who knows which is which?

But take nothing in that movie as canon homie. You do know joker didn't kill bruce's parents right?

I know that now. But I only found that out in recent years. I always wondered why they never acknowledged The Joker killing Bruce's parents on "Batman: TAS"/DCAU.
