My dude Vick Mackey coming in to the Gotham PD. I'm ready
@ all the complaining in this thread about Jerome being the Joker and how it was too soon and ruins the Batman/Joker relationship.
Gotham hit us with that curveball and the little coda at the end with all of the maniacs inspired by Jerome's antics was cool.
I figure we will start to see the Penguin get more involved in things now with Vic Mackie coming in and putting Oswald at the top of his most wanted list plus I can't see Penguin just sitting back and allowing Theo to take over Gotham City without voicing some kind of opposition to it.
Alfred was within his rights to turn to Bruce on some "Oh - you do actually have a super power - it appears that it's cockblocking "

The actual Joker is going to have his work cut out for him. The way that kid was channeling Jack and Heath was just

I haven't seen that movie in a while. I might have to watch it later tonight.Jerome reminded me of a line from Once Upon a Time in Mexico. His character was almost too good. He needed to be removed.

This is exactly why killing Rome off is genius. It's The Red Hood (no damu) dynamic.
The set up appears to be that "The Joker" is an impervious, clandestine designation - it's a title.
I mean, look at the end of the ep...any one of those folks laughing maniacally looking at Jerome
footage could be inspired to Jokerism...
You got Penguin who has been a bit backburnered while Jerome was running around this season. This makes perfect sense in the grand scheme of things. I guess my worry with them executing this so early is that will the series actually get to that point of having the real Joker. The majority consensus is that the creators made a huge mistake in doing this as Jerome was really shaking up the dynamics in Gotham. Now, whom is going to step up and become the compelling villain for this show. I definitely want this show to succeed but for me, the end game is looking a little murky as of right now. Things still can change.

Theo is going to become a bigger threat as the season goes on.
Barbara is getting more and more calculating and bloodthirsty.
Nygma is spiralling.
I think they have a nice set of villains ready to step up.
