the quotes gonna be classic.

Regardless what happens this series, my plan remains the same, offseason fire sale and tank like hell

Paying luxury tax without an allstar ain't the wave

That’s why I’m hoping we get swept or badly embarrassed in the playoffs. A very poor showing in the postseason would likely force Pat to retire, and the new GM will likely tear this down. :blessed:

Read Ira's Q&A this morning, I swear we have some of the dumbest fans in the league.

Q: The Heat had an athletic 6-7 swing-man who reminded them of Ben Simmons so much they had him play the part of Simmons in practice. However, they left him off the playoff roster, in favor of several players...

I didnt even feel like copying the whole question, anyone want to guess who he's talking about :skip:

The future seems pretty fukking bleak :francis:. The absolute worst thing to happen to this team was that 30-11 finish to last season. Nothing about it was sustainable. They needed to dump all their contracts at the deadline and prioritize space and picks. Now the question becomes “is Riley willing to do that?” and I don’t think he is.

Facts only.

Maybe they can get one for Dragic. I think they're stuck with JJ though.
We saw it when Wade was originally here
Dragic struggled playing with him because Wade was ball dominat
Who is going to want a point guard who can’t play with another dominant ball handler
Who needs an offense built around him who isn’t great at creating and getting other guys involved
Plus he is in his 30s we are pretty much stuck with him

Need to get anything we can for Dragic, dude is a fukking bum. :camby:

I've been advocating trading this tunnel vision point guard for the last 3 years and nikkas was talkin to me crazy. Y'all niggss wanna wait til after the storm hits to cry for help.

In order to win the series, we need to stop treating Simmons like he's Lebron. Man up and force him to score 30-40. Just stick to the shooters. Too many times, the whole defense collapses when he's just dribbling. Spo is so trash

Dump them HOW? :why:

Go look at them contracts, the length, and their age. Who giving up anything of value for them?

He's an ungodly talented passer with veteran-esque patience. His ability to lead his shooters/cutter and find them with a needle of space makes no sense. He's also an opportunistic scorer. The second you try to be aggressive and cut off his angles because he's been hitting passes, he'll score an easy dunk or attack the lane since he's so tall and athletic. That entire team is so long and tall that guys like TJ are useless on defense.

shyt demoralizes you. Dude gets easy buckets the second you try to key in on a shooter.

Been saying this for a while but Whiteside ain't as good as y'all think he is

That is true but thats why us heat brehs figured if they were going to max him out that they would draw up plays to utilize his strengths and draw up plays for him instead of having him out being ignored like he waa still on a D league contract.

Whiteside’s outburst was about not being used. Games where he was cold before he still put up the same effort on defense cause he saw his team trying to feed him. He got a decent midrange shot so a high pick and pop play can get him a few points

Miami played about as terrible a game as you could yesterday.....I suppose the good news is that it can only improve...

However the problem is this.....unless Miami can engage in serious ball denial for Simmons...he will have their defense scrambling because of the threat of the pass...and he will score enough that you have to respect that threat too...

So Miami has to score the ball more.....they definitely must win the rebounds and 50-50 ball battles.....and they have to limit catch and shoot opps....which again comes down to making more people than Simmons handle the ball for the majority of the possessions

Somebody on Miami has to be a 25PPG guy this series
