Everyone thinks progress is linear.. it isn't. Black employees will start to have to have a different mentality and look at faang jobs as a means not an end. Do a short stint , stack the money , get the resume line item and get out.

Yeah it's frustrating when the fast money becomes habit for people, to the point they think it's the only way to go. I worked on a project with a guy who only liked to do short cuts or trickery when he didn't have to. Real smart guy, but the trickery mindset had taken over his common sense at times. The thing is once you do that it kills any long term success because you're building off an illusion.
