"Good Times" was downright ridiculous at times

Truth be told, you be hard pressed to find any black sitcoms to even broach the topic of Jesus being black in the 70s-90s. I could only imagine the hate mail that was received :lolbron: back then. Even if Michael’s character was a vehicle to bring awareness in a subtle not so subtle manner.

Going and back and seeing what Thelma looks like as a grown man made me see things different too :shaq:

Last, but not least: Bookman's fat ass always threatening to evict them. Since when did the building Super of all people have that kind of authority? Where they do dat at?

Bookman himself didn't have the power to evict the Evans (or ANY of the tenants).

He would just threaten to snitch on them to the higher-ups for any infraction that his nosy ass could find (and would use what he had on them for his own selfish benefit :smh:).

Great list, Breh! I can't believe I forgot Kim & Chip Fields.
:snoop:

Bebe Drake (Myra from "Martin") & Grand L. Bush also guest starred. They're #BlackActingExcellence, too!
