Ever since I saw the previews and Swizz promoting on Instagram, I've been saying I was gonna check this out, but I just never got around to it for a variety of reasons. Kind of glad it took this long though b/c then I was able to just binge all 10 episodes. I think the show started off good, but I feel like it lost some of it's direction (and footing) as the series went on. I actually found myself becoming more immersed in Malcolm's story by the end (even though we all know how that ends) and wanting more exploration from his perspective. I certainly wouldn't mind a spin off with Nigel T. Breh as Macolm just commands your attention with every appearance on screen. In the meantime, I wanna go read the book and watch the movie again to quench my thirst. As for the rest of it, I'm not putting it up there with The Wire or anything like that, but I wouldn't mind a 2nd season if they tighten things up a bit.

Oh, and the rap shyt ain't bother me all season until the last episode when I heard 21 savage :francis: . But for the most part, I thought Swizz did a job with the intro, the song w/ Pusha, even though he was starting to feel himself too much by going heavy on his own features every other episode :russ:. But like I said, other than that 21 Savage shyt, it didn't "take me out" of the setting by any means.

In the back of my mind I keep thinking the "Malcolm and Adam" show is the real show, and the "ripped from the headlines" mafia stuff is just to draw people in.

I didn't feel sorry for that dumb ass c00n being murked in the end. Him and his annoying cac girlfriend just couldn't get the message. I just wish the chick would have got caught a hot one too.

Overall this is a solid show. I wish it had more publicity because no one I know has heard of it.

It's interesting that the NOI don't like their portrayal on it though lol. They have a point in some instances, but the dude who played Malcolm X was even better than Denzel's portrayal which I didn't think would be possible.

Yep....and there will be a "Stringer Bell, 'I got D killed'-type confession to Avon" by her to Vincent at the end of one of the episodes of the next season.
