Most overrated crime group in not just American history but the entire world. And I can't stand how popular culture makes them out to be untouchable. We badly need a Frank Matthews story or Philadelphia Black Mafia. But those two show too much Black hegemony....

I'm not sure what you mean by cheap characters. IMO, Vincent D'Onofrio's Chin Gigante is a more believable mob boss than James Gandolfini's Tony Soprano. Also, I can't recall any silly storylines; maybe you could elaborate?

I liked it - didn't love it. I spent nearly all the time wondering "Was this person real? Did that really happen?" 1/2 the time, the answer was no. But Big dikk Buster? Homie was real.

I didn't give 1/128th of a fukk about the Stella/Teddy shyt (which turned out to not even be real in the first place). And I don't believe for a *second* that Bumpy did all talking business with his wife. She knew way too much about what was going on with Bumpy's business. (Like, she might have known there was trouble with the rigged lottery, but no way he would've told her they were $300K in the red AND he was going to see Bonnano AND the white chick had the money for him AND...)

The actress playing Mayme was too average and dull for me to even be vested in her. And I'm tired of Bumpy being this untouchable superman who constantly walks away from the Eye-talians, who apparently just can't touch him because...why? The real Bumpy must have been smarter and far more clever than the Bumpy we saw in this series. THAT Bumpy would've been killed ten times over.

I'm glad they didn't go with a love affair b/t Malcolm and Elyse and showed their relationship as mutually respectful. But again, how much of Elyse was real? Because I double very seriously that she just so happened to be there to cut the throat of the man trying to kill her father. You know? It's like...some of it was so unbelievable that it took me out of the story.

(Oddly enough, Bumpy's widow is insistent in her autobiography that he never sold drugs. Go figure.)all of that change when he saved the life of a big time mobster from being stab to death. every mob head was at his funeral

It's not even just the fact he was simping he didn't get the hint several times over to drop it.

I already predicted somewhat how it was gonna end up earlier in the thread. The fool decides to go to a mafia boss HOUSE and troll the family and the neighbourhood at that time, he was basically suicidal and got what he was asking for. I knew the chick was gonna skip away cos they always do.

Right there I was like fukk this c00n ass clown he gonna die either way. Dude has a very LOW IQ and was that thirsty for some White p*ssy. The father okaying the relation is one thing but to go into a White supremacist house is some down low IQ c00n shyt. Only thing i hope is that his death helps proves Bumpy guilty cuz the daughter gonna go HARDER against her father now.

I look at a group like The Sopranos against, say the Barksdales from The Wire. Imagine a clown like Christopher and old ass Paulie going against Slim Charles and Weebay. :mjlol: If the playing field was level the mafia would get fukked up by any black organised crime group - New Jack City hinted at that. We'd see how all that 'moolanyan' talk would work out for them.

Ghost Dog is my all time favourite movie and that is probably the only flick that shows how washed up those clowns really are.
