Is this the same Kratos from the precious games or is this a reboot?

same Kratos, but new mythology. Still a reboot.

Kratos has a lot more depth and humanity to him now.

it's a direct sequel.. all things from previous games are referenced. just years in the future and a different set of gods

I hadn't played God of War since God of War 2 for the ps2 (i was pretty much a 360 owner from '08 to '15), so it had been over 10 years since I last rocked with Kratos...

... but man, to use a wrestling term, i marked out for the first time ever when that moment happened in GoW 4.

When the beat music dropped and i realized what was happening, i legit dropped my controller and gave it a standing ovation.

I gave that shyt a standing ovation

One of the GOAT moments in gaming history. Powerful and nostalgic
